I cringed slightly at the sight of what just happened, I had to admit I felt bad. Reaching out I grabbed a few towels and handed them towards the woman. Grabbing the cup, she'd just spilt I put it into the compartment for cleaning. Grabbing a bottle of vodka, I started spinning it idly, watching her.
"So do you normally go for fruity things or stronger?" I asked as I watched her intently. Hell, I wasn't all too sure why I even was acting like I was, but I knew that was probably embarrassing to have spilled her drink like that and I wasn't going to sit by and do nothing. "Or do you possibly want something else entirely?"
She frowned at me, her eyes seeming to slowly size me up as if she just realized how tall I was and then her eyes seemed to shift, looking at... my bicep? I had to bite back a laugh at it.
"Ah, fruity..." She said slowly before looking down the bar. "It doesn't look like you're supposed to be back there..."
She seemed to get to work finishing wiping off her skirt as I glanced down the bar to see Dahlia glaring directly at me. I wasn't too shocked that she was as pissed off as she was about me being back here honestly. It was her bar after all.
"Whatever I just spilled though tasted pretty good."
"It was just a quick rum and coke with some flavoring that I had found." I said to her, glancing back towards her form. "As for her, she doesn't like me being back here cause she doesn't want her bar messed up. She'll get over it, promise."
Pulling out a few of the bottles again, I started looking them over before I started to mix another drink together for her. This time though, I went through her back stock of flavors and grabbed some things to help give it that more fruity punch to it. When I was done I set the drink down closer to her and idly flipped one of the bottles in my hand as I walked it back towards where it went.
Wiping down the area I had just used after, I threw the towel into the cleaning bin and hopped back over the bar. The only thing that followed me this time around was a bottle of whiskey that I used to pour myself a few shots and drank a few of them.
"Do you need a change of clothes for the alcohol smell or are you good?"
She sat there for a moment seeming to weigh her options. Almost looking unsure of what she wanted to do just yet. Glancing down at her phone she then looked back up at me and nodded. "New clothes would be nice to have." She seemed to pause and give me a strange look. "Though, I dunno... I don't think you'd have anything in my size."
"Ah... Well, you'd be surprised, trust me." I chuckled and finished off the last few shots in front of me. "I'm not too far from here, we can get there by walking."
What in the actual f**k was I doing right now? I didn't take girls home and I sure as hell didn't offer to get them a change of clothes knowing damn well the only clothes in my house were mine or my kids. Plus she was a damn witch! As of late with how everyone seemed so segregated I almost felt like I was asking for her to kill me when we were alone. Gods I could be an actual i***t. That backfired spell she'd done said enough as it were, if she was planning to use magic she probably had no issue with killing me either. Right? But s**t, I already had brought it up...
"Do you need some help getting to your feet?" I asked, looking her over.
's**t I really hope the girls aren't home...' I cringed at the fact I only had just thought about that.
No, more than likely they were still out doing whatever in the f**k they decided to do tonight. So that meant it'd probably be safe.
The woman stared at me, I could hear the thudding of her heart as it started beating faster. It was like she was thinking about something but nothing came out of her mouth for a long moment before it seemed she registered my question to her.
"Ah, no, I'm ok. I just need to let the girls know..." she started and looked back behind her only to sigh and sway a little. "Never mind! Those bishes left me. You could've been a hunter and no one would ever find my body."
Was she... was that a joke? That had to have been the most adorable thing I'd witnessed honestly.
"Well, good thing I'm not a hunter then, hm?" I smirked at her. Starting to move slowly towards the doors, I kept an eye on her with each step and managed to stop and let my boss - Alexion - know where I was heading to so no one freaked out about me being missing. Turning my attention fully to the woman after, I stared at her curiously.
“If you were, I’d definitely let you chase me.” I had to do everything in my power not to laugh at her words. She was clearly drunk or at least heavily buzzed.
Honestly, what the f**k. Why in the f**k was I bringing a stranger back to my home, the one in which my children also lived. Was there a wire loose in my head or something? This wasn't a good idea by any means, I didn't know her f*****g name even. s**t! Wait, I really didn't know this woman's name! Was I that f*****g desperate to get a pretty woman in my house? Jesus f**k.
"So, not to go and be that super weird guy or anything but..." I paused and turned to her holding out my hand. "Hey there! My name is Isa, what's your name?" I smiled at her, hoping she found it somewhat charming at the very least.
“That’s an interesting name, is it short for something?” She then paused, stating ”It’s Zen.”
At least I knew what her name was now. Zen, that was a pretty name. It fit her too, it was unique and pretty like she was. f**k, there went my thoughts, the alcohol clearly tampering with the rational side of my brain. Her laugh brought me back though as I looked over at her.
"It's very nice to meet you, Isa." She smiled at me.
"Nice to meet you too." I smirked a bit at her.
Why I was acting the way I was, well it was beyond me but I couldn't seem to stop myself as we walked. My eyes gravitated towards her neck on their own and it seemed I couldn't take them off of it as the vein in her neck pulsed but soon enough, I pried them away but instead this time found myself staring at her chest. I was ready to slap myself at this point.
"Well, come on then let's go before the smell sets in too much you end up needing a shower." I said grinning, "Not that it'd be a problem if you did."
