Chapter - 44 - An important day in Steev's Life

Steev's POV :

I saw John preparing breakfast for me. That view took me to a imotional zone. My eyes started getting moist. I directly went towards John and gave him a tight hug. And I stood near him and started looking at him. John looked at me in a surprised way and said, " What happened steev? " I replied, " I am very Lucky to have a brother like you." " Oh is it. I already know that you are very lucky to have me. If you have anything new then tell me.", John said in a funny way and started laughing out loud. Instead of laughing at it I cried out loudly and hugged him once again. John too hugged me tightly.

After that fruits were cut and the orange juice was ready and it was done by John alone. I told John, " John, you too take a shower and get back. After that we will have our fruits and juice together." " Yes Steev, sure. I will come back within few minutes.", John said and went to the washroom. By the time John came back I thought of wearing a very neat and good shirt and trouser as I had to go to work that too it was the very first day in the job. Thought I was excited to go to work, I was too much nervous. Butterflies and what not were in my stomach. Finally I found a good shirt to wear. I quickly ironed the shirt and the trouser and wore it neatly. And I settled my hair as well. By the time I finished all my work John was back taking the shower. He too quickly wore his good office wear clothes and got ready. After that we both sat down to have our breakfast. That day's breakfast was a healthy one and I loved it because it was prepared by John with love for his little brother Steev (Myself).

We both sat together and finished eating our breakfast while having very good conversations. After we finished having the breakfast John said to me, " Steev, don't worry that it is your first day at work. Be confident and show what are your talents. Do not worry about anything. Today is just the first day, so go confidently and do it." Those words of his boosted my confidence. Before leaving for my new job I wanted to talk to Shika once. I thought I needed to call her. But the time was just 7 A.M. that's why I thought I will call her after few minutes as I had to leave for work at 8 A.M. I sat down anxiously. And suddenly my phone rang. In a great nervous I took my phone and saw it was Shika. My nervousness flew away and a smile came on my face. I quickly picked up the call and said, " Hey Shika, what's up. Very good morning to you." " Very good morning Steev, I called you at this time because today is your first day of the job. I wanted to wish you luck that's why.", she replied. " So sweet of you Shika, I am very happy.", I replied. " Good luck for today Steev. Do not be nervous and be confident.", she said. After talking to Shika I was completely fine. I was happy that I had John and Shika who boosted my confidence before going for work on the very first day. " Thank you Shika for all your wishes. I am really confident now. After yours and John's support. " Yes Steev very happy for you.", Shika said. " Steev, I will call you in the evening. You have to leave for work right.", She added. " Yes Shika we'll talk in the evening. You take care.", I replied. And then we hung the call.

John said, " Let's go together in the same auto. My office comes on the way to your office." " Yes John definitely. Nothing is better than that.", I replied. Few minutes we were just standing while having conversations about office and work. John said, " Your new journey is going to begin from together. I am proud of you. I know you will succeed in this." " Thank you for these precious words brother. I really needed it.", I said. " Yes brother I know what is important for you. And I do it accordingly. ", he replied.

It was 7: 30 A.M. already, it was time for us to leave. Therefore I stood and prayed my lord and then came out of the room. We locked the room and started walking towards the auto rikshaw stand where there were autos available for traveling. We walked silently towards the auto and then we got into the auto and then sat. We sat in the auto having some normal and casual conversation. Minutes flew and it was John's time to get down from the auto. John said, " Good luck once again boy." And then he left. After he left I had to sit alone and travel till my office. I just sat down and started imagining the way I need to talk to the particular people in the new office. As I was imagining I realised that I had reached the destination. I got down and paid the auto charges.

After that I started walking towards my office. It was a walk filled with anxiety. Though I was nervous I remembered John's and Shika's words. After that I got all my confidence back and I confidently started walking towards my office. I reached the entrance of the office. I was asked to do the security check. The security checked me and let me go in. I went inside the gate and started looking around. I was not sure were to enter exactly because there were different sections. During the interview there was a specific interview room. I took the phone and called the person who had called me the previous day. The phone rang and the person picked up the call. " Hello, Steev!", the person said. " Hello Sir, I have reached the office. May I know where exactly I need to enter? ", I asked.
