Chapter - 21 - Steev Reaches Shika's House

Steev's POV :

We got down from the auto and paid the auto charges. The amount was 93 rupees. We paid and then walked towards Shika’s house. I excitedly opened her house gate and John and I entered. Her house yard had a very beautiful garden and there was a very beautiful fragrance of flowers coming. Previously when I went to Shika’s house it was dark and we were in hurry that is why I was not able to look around properly and enjoy it so I was not ready to miss the beautiful opportunity of looking around and enjoying each and every moment. After walking around the garden we reached near the entrance door of the house. Excitedly I pressed the door bell. My heart was beating fast and I was eager to see Shika opening the door for us. After approximately 30 seconds Shika opened the door just like how I imagined. “Hello please come in both of you.”, Shika welcomed us with a pretty smile.

“Yes yes thank you.”, I replied. “You have a very beautiful garden.”, Said John to Shika.

“Oh thank you. I always loved plants and flowers from my childhood.”, replied Shika.

“That’s so nice, same like my mother, she was always...ah…mm..”, I went blank while I was talking about my mother. But after that suddenly I pause and went silent all of a sudden. John was paused as well. “What happened suddenly, why did you pause?”, Shika questioned with a question mark on her face. “Nothing Shika.”, I said. “Please you can tell me.”, she said.

“I lost my mother when I was 10 years old. And now when I remembered her I got a bit emotional… that’s all.”, I replied.

“Oh I am so sorry to hear that…Sorry.”, Shika said. “No!! there is nothing to be sorry about. It was my part of life and I have to live with it.”, I said. "Yes there is a strong point in what you said Steev and I know that you are really a strong and kind hearted man.", Shika said. "Thank you Shika for saying that. It really made me feel better.", I replied. "Whenever you remember your mother just come running here. My mother is your mother too.", Shika said. These words of her really made me very emotional. Those words were very precious to me and my heart.
