I can see when her mind takes her back in time, a soft tremble in her fingertips quickly increase to her whole body shaking, tears stream down from her eyes as she stares at the pup. My heart constricts, but I can't say anything, just watch as she cries over the loss of our pups - it reminds me of when she held our first born dead in her arms and broke down in front of me. I was selfish, f*****g weak as I didn't want to see her cry like that ever again; it hurt me too much to see it so I made her stop. I know that my actions of suppressing her emotions is what ultimately ruined us, it was my fault that she felt like she was alone and had no one to turn to all because I couldn't bear to see her cry.
