"Mind link Cassie, she's not answering me" I snap at my father. I let Sophie have some fun as Cassie had agreed that she would reply to me every time I checked in. But of course, she isn't responding to me. "Why?" he asks "Because I want to know what my mate is doing, and if she's being mauled by f*****g rogues or not" I growl, he glares at me but I see his eyes glaze telling me he's mind linking. "No, she's not answering" he says "I'm going to tear her f*****g throat out" I snarl "You will do no such thing to my daughter" he growls, warning me but I scoff at his attempt to intimidate me. "I think it's because she's far away, mind link connections can only stretch so far darling" my mother says, standing from her seat to stand beside my father.
