The Evil One cannot operate to manipulate you with a device and the device he uses is the hardware of the thought of man called the heart that is deceitful and desperately wicked. One of the most terrible devices of the Evil One is anger. Anger’s destruction is irreplaceable and it often leaves one in a state of regret. The Evil One cannot communicate with you except through his devices e.g. unforgiven heart, hatred, bitterness, rage and anger, malice, etc. simply put, the Evil One’s devices are what is called works of the flesh. Demonic possession can never be possible except through the devices of the Evil One and we must not be ignorant of the Evil One’s devices.

2 Corinthians 2: 11

Lest Satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Satan is a deceiver that takes excessive advantage of our ignorance because that is where he breathes his life from to live in our hearts as evil. Devices are simply the designs of the Evil One that can only run with the thought of man becoming its hardware and the purpose of the Evil One’s device is to cheat believers of Christ out of true forgiveness and use this to divide the church any way he can.

The major device that the Evil One uses to enslave believers of Christ is lies. Lies is the Evil One’s truth and when lies become the drive of a man, truth becomes an offence. When the Evil One takes over a man’s heart, such man becomes his device and the result of the man’s character will be evident as:

Psalm 36: 4

He devises wickedness on his bed, he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not abhor evil.

A man who does not abhor evil will keep devising evil continually (Proverbs 6: 14) because he has become the storehouse of evil and such man’s perversity is in his heart and would always devise evil that will lead to sowing the seed of discord. The Evil One can use the harsh word to stir up anger (Proverbs 15: 1) and it will interest you to know that anger rest in the bosom of a fool (Ecclesiastes 7: 9).

The Evil One can use his device of unforgiven heart to lead you into bitterness and bitter life can never be sweet and a lot of people have died of a heart attack just because of not forgive people who had hurt them, so they will refuse to let go, even when they’re not letting go is affecting them much more, not the people who had hurt them. You will certainly be dragged into bitterness and depression that vents anger on yourself, if you don’t forgive and forget, you will end up gnashing teethes in pains all because of thoughts not brought under the control of the Holy Spirit.

You cannot overcome the devices of the Evil One if you don’t walk in love (Ephesians 5:1- 7), because walking in love is simply walking in the light (Ephesians 5: 8- 13). You need the wisdom of ASCAT to understand the schemes of the Evil One to take advantage of you and for you to be able to walk in wisdom, you must not walk like a fool, but as wise, understanding the time because the days are evil (Ephesians 5: 15, 16). The Evil One is never tired and can never be tired until his very doom day, even as he had already been doomed.

The Evil One will stop at nothing to reduce you to nothing through his devices that are the manifestation of the works of the flesh. The Word of ASCAT became flesh (John 1: 14) to destroy the works of the flesh (1 Timothy 3: 16) in flesh and the works of the flesh is simply what defines the devices of the Evil One. Flesh profits nothing (John 6: 63) and no man can please ASCAT in the flesh (Romans 8: 8).
