The cross does not subtract life; it lays down life to give life, just like a seed, it falls to the ground and dies, to spring up with a new life, with the old completely done away with. The cross is a symbolic pointer revealing a bridge connecting humanity back to divinity after the separation that occurred with the fall of man. Without the cross, there is no crossing over from death to life, even when a man lives life, such man cannot live in the afterlife and not living in the afterlife, simply implies utter darkness that defines living without the light of ASCAT’s life.
