Chapter Fourteen

526 Words
I couldn’t stop thinking about Prince’s goddess-like sister. It was like fate, I tell you.   That’s why I kept bugging Prince these past few days to know more about the girl that I adore, trying to ignore the fact that she’s already taken. He’s pretty reluctant to talk to me though.   “I thought we were friends?” I asked him and suddenly our ‘bathroom scene’ emerged inside my head.   “Or maybe not…?” I was having second thoughts by now.   He was lying on the bed with his back rested on the headboard, scanning the pages of a magazine rather lazily. He wasn’t paying any attention at all.   So I dropped down beside him, cupped his face with both hands and stared intensely straight into his gray eyes just to get his attention.   “What the…?” He let out a surprised yelp as he backed away from me really quick, making him fall off the bed.   “So… won’t you set us up on a date? Princess, I mean. Just tell her to dump Jagger while you’re at it. I’m way much better.” I tried to convince the guy desperately.   “Uh… I’ll… I’ll think about it.” After saying this, he ran for the bathroom like he was deeply constipated.   *PRINCE’S POV*   Jeez, since when did Brooke have this kind of effect on me?! Making me nervous for no reason at all… it’s all because of my stupid mistake the other day…   *FLASHBACK*   I hurriedly grabbed for Jagger and dragged him out of the room.   I can’t believe my ‘pretend’ boyfriend has to be this idiotic guy right here.   “Who the f**k are you?!” He screamed in my face the moment we got away from Brooke.   “It’s me, stupid!” I crossed my arms then removed the wig swiftly with a hand.   “I was cosplaying when Brooke started hitting on me then I panicked and then I… lied. It’s just a simple slip-up really. You have got to help me on this or I’ll make your life really miserable.” I explained with blackmail at the end.   The next thing I knew, my i***t of a roommate started laughing like a messed up hyena from the Lion King movie.   “You were what? Cosplaying?! That’s just… so you, Prince. Don’t worry, my life is already plenty miserable with just your bare presence so there’s no way I’m getting involved in this although this is kind of funny.” He continued laughing like there was no end to it.   “Poor Brooke, doesn’t have a clue that he’s flirting at the wrong tree, if you know what I mean. You figure out the rest of this on your own, Princess…” He mocked.   “Bastard”
