Chapter Two

428 Words
"Who the hell are you?"   Instead of replying, the guy's eyes went teary as if I just rejected him then off he went and ran out of the room without another word.   I would've ran after him if only he was a girl but he's not... though he looked pretty hurt by what I just said.   "Um... that was odd. Who was that guy?" I turned to Gage.   "You don't know him?" Gage tried his best not to laugh but I'm sure he found the situation real funny since I caught him giggling a while ago before the other blondie left.   "That was Ford Harrison! Man, I should've taken a picture at his hurt expression. So damn funny!"   Harrison? Where have I heard that family name before...?   All of a sudden, I just realized what I had done.   Why am I this slow when it doesn't involve girls?   I quickly rushed out the empty hallways as I searched for Ford.   No wonder he looked familiar, he was my childhood friend! How stupid of me...   Just then, I saw him walking off with another guy and without thinking, I ran up to the dude and hugged him from behind.   It feels weird hugging a guy.   "I'm sorry, I... um... I... didn't know. I missed you too..." I stuttered when Ford turned to face me and eyed me from head to toe which took a while before he said, "Brooke?"   I smiled sheepishly at him but I only got a confused look from the guy which turned into a stern look later on when he heard his friend say,   "This is your childhood sweetheart? You never told me you were gay, Harrison"   I turned to look at his friend with a disgusted look.   "Who says I'm gay? I like girls..." I said in a manly and proud kind of way.   "Shut it. I never asked anything from you. Let's go, Brad"   Brad? "You're not Ford?" I asked.   He looked rather hurt when I mentioned Ford.   He just shook his head then sighed heavily as he went off with the guy named Will (I saw it in his ID).   Huh? Now, I'm confused. Yet, I have forgotten another very important fact during my childhood days... that my childhood friends were twins.   "How stupid can you get Brooke?" I said to myself out loud.   "Yeah, that was pretty stupid. You dared to talk back to the principal's son, Will Kennedy." I saw Gage smirking as I turned to face him.   Kennedy High? Go figure.   Who cares? Apparently, Gage does... but I don't.
