Isabella came into the room grumbling with two bags of groceries in hand. They looked heavy and she walked unsteadily with them. Amanda rushed to help her and collected one bag from her. “Gracias, miss Amanda,” said Isabella. “What’s got you into such a mood?” Amanda asked. “It’s that stupid security guard, José. He has not been to work for two days now. I’ve had open the gate myself every time I go out.” Alarmed, Amanda’s eyes rounded. “So you mean there’s no one guarding the gate?” “Yes, but you don’t have to be alarmed.
