The creature hovered near the ceiling, its glowing eyes burning with fury.
A few of Kage’s men noticed the enenra’s presence and began pointing and shouting. I retreated to Sion’s side and sheathed my blade, knowing it would do nothing to harm the creature. Kage’s men didn’t know that, and they rushed toward it, brandishing their weapons.
I picked up my bag and waited for a path to the exit to be clear. Katori and Kage continued to battle, likely unaware of the enenra. As the chamber filled with the screams of the dying, Katori pulled back from the battle. The creature’s timing couldn’t have been better, as it looked like Katori’s strength was flagging.
Kage rallied the rest of his men and they attacked the enenra, but the creature’s smoky form eluded their strikes. It appeared here
