Eventually Barry’s feet started to ache, and he felt chilled, too. “Are we nearly there yet?” “We’ll be turning onto our street in a minute,” Jake told him. Barry then began to sing, “On the street where we live.” “Barry, babe. Quit it. You don’t know the words and you’re repeating yourself,” Jimmy told him between verses. “Sorry.” Barry then lapsed into silence and leaned more on Jimmy. “Just half a block to go, then you can go to sleep,” Jimmy said, putting his arm around Barry’s waist. Barry managed to stay awake for the promised half block as well as the elevator ride to their floor. He stood by the bed while his men undressed him.
