Chaos

Chaos was everywhere as the Dybbuk ripped out the heart of the commander. The rest of the soldiers attempted to flee but the worst just happened. This time around it is not only one Dybbuk but about five of them. Ripping through the soldiers one after another, Gerald picked up his sword whispering to the king, “It’s time to leave.” The king dragged Drew to his feet to drag him down to Maxis to face the consequences of his actions but Drew pushed the king away and took to his heels. “My king, there is no time, let’s go!” said Gerald as he brought a horse to the king.  King Afa quickly turned towards the horse, "Let's go before they noticed us," he said as he helps Eva mount on the horse. The king mounted too and sat behind her. Some Minutes Later: At the Palace in the Kingdom of Maxis On seeing two horses furiously riding towards the entrance gate, the guards on the tower paid close attention as he tries to see who the riders are. On sighting the king sitting behind Eva on the horse's back, he echoed right from the top of the tower, “The king is back, open the gate!” The king rides in first with Gerald riding behind him. The Dybbuks haven't forgotten them but right behind their arses. “Lock up the gate!” Gerald instructed as soon as the king rides in. Fixing his gaze at the guards he mounted down from his horse saying, “We have company.”   “What type of company?” one of the guards asked.  His thought was flashed back to the kingdom of Wex thinking they are the ones in pursuit of the king and the general. But the response of Gerald disappointed him. “Dybbuks are on their way to us. Get ready to fight and defend this palace." As King Afa climbs down from the horse, he helped Eva down. Ada rushed out to meet with her brother as she was filled with excitement. Throwing her arms around her brother they both shared a warm hug. “I am glad you are back, brother,” she whispered into his ear. “I have missed you,” she added.  “I missed you too, sister,” Afa replied. The king's reunion with his sister was rudely interrupted by Kay. She was standing by the staircase that leads to the main palace building and frowning her face with her eye fixed on Eva. "What's this w***e doing here?" It's been a hectic moment for King Afa and the last thing he wants to be doing now is to be exchanging words with Kay. But such an attitude will no longer be tolerated as the king fired back at her switching his attention on her. "Is that the proper way to welcome your king?" “She is not welcomed here,” Kay said pointing at Eva.  “And who are you to make that decision?” King Afa said as he slowly grabbed Eva’s hand and pulls her closer to himself.  “I think we have to talk about this later, but right now we should be happy that the king is back and not trouble him with personal issues. He needs rest and that’s what we should allow him to have,” Ada said with her eyes fixed on Kay. “I see you are now picking sides with him.” Kay glares at Ada. She wasn't happy with her response. She expected the princess to back her up.   “Come on friend, the king needs rest." Ada tried to calm Kay down. She was not trying to pick a side but to make sure the king isn't stressed.  “I am stressed already and I feel used by the king,” Kay cried out.  “Watch your tongue, I am still standing here,” King Afa glared at Ada.  “Of course I know you are still here but as far as I am concerned, the w***e is not welcomed in here,” Kay laments. The king was angered by what Kay said but he tried to act up paying no attention to what she has said so far. “You also need rest,” he said to Eva. “Come with me please,” he added leading Eva into the main palace.  “Does it mean I have my work back now?” Eva asked glancing at the king. Her heart still wants to be in the palace even it means her going back to her former work as a maiden. That's the only thing that keeps her going since she has no one to care for her anymore.  “That work is not suitable for you my dear. The only work you have to do now is to treasure my heart,” said King Afa with a smile. “Did you see that? I can’t believe you just pick sides with your brother.”  Kay at this time was feeling jealous of the way the king was holding Eva as they both walked into the palace. She frowns at her friend Ada.  “I am not picking sides with anyone but you have to respect the king for his decisions,” said Ada. “I can’t bear that w***e of a maiden dragging the king with…” A loud noise from the gate startled both Kay and Ada.  “What’s going on?” Ada asked with her eyes fixed towards the gate. “My Princess, you need to get into the palace now, Dybbuks are here,” said one of the imperia guards as he approaches the princess and Kay to lead them into the palace.  “Make sure you seal up the entire palace.” Ada without hesitation ran into the main palace as Kay followed. Gerald and his men took their stance at the gate with their swords drawn out, “They are here,” Gerald whispered. Jumping down the fence, one of the Dybbuks lunged at a guard. The Dybbuk opened its mouth wide to take possession of the guard’s soul. Luckily for the guard, Gerald was fast enough to behead the Dybbuk. “Thanks,” said the guard in appreciation as Gerald helps him to his feet. The rest of the Dybbuks seeing Gerald’s action switched their focus on him. Spears were thrown at the Dybbuks and arrows fired at them but none were able to hit any of the Dybbuks. With a purring sound, the Dybbuks jumped towards the tower. “Follow them!” Gerald yelled leading the way to the tower. As he was about to take his first step to the top of the tower, one of the Dybbuks lunged at him and started throwing punches at him. The rest of the guards froze in fear as their sword unconsciously drops from their hands. Gerald’s fear grew stronger as he tried reaching his sword but the sword was a bit far from him. The Dybbuk opened its mouth wide as it did with king Afa. “Not today!” said King Afa as he walks in to help Gerald. The Dybbuk switched its attention on King Afa with a purring sound as it stands to its feet moving towards King Afa. Charging towards the king with its mouth opened, the king positioned his sword that the Dybbuk ran into it. Impaled by the sword, the Dybbuk breathed its last. The rest on seeing this jumped through the wall and were seen no more. “Thank you, my king,” said Gerald to the king. At the Kingdom of Wex Staggering towards the king breathing heavily, Drew fell to his knees as he slowly lifts his head.  On seeing him, King Abacus quickly stood to his feet. He has been waiting for his soldiers and Drew to return. When he saw Drew, he knew something has gone wrong. “What happened? Where are my soldiers?”  “We were attacked by Dybbuks and your soldiers lost their lives trying to escape,” Drew replied as he pants slowly.  “And you dare to show your face to the king with this news?” King Abacus yelled in anger. He is a king that does not tolerate bad news or failed missions. Anyone who brings bad news to him always ends up dead. Turning to face Adux, King Abacus said to him, “Throw him into my dungeon!”
