Ch 12

Mikeyla and Bucky sat in the couch, she had finished her homework and was now reading the Dread Doctors book, Bucky was watching something in the TV. It was Friday and they both tried to just relax. Mikeyla's phone beeped and she picked it up seeing it was a text from her brother

Skype. NOW! ~Stiles

Mikeyla frowned and stood up to turn up her laptop

"Everything ok?" Bucky asked noticing her frown

"Yeah, my brother just wants to talk to me" Mikeyla answered and Bucky nodded

As soon as Mikeyla logged in. Stiles' requested a video talk, she accepted and was greeted by her brother's face

"Did you read the book?" he instantly asked

"Gee, hello to you too, I missed you too and I'm fine, thanks" Mikeyla greeted sarcastically

"Don't use sarcasm on me, I'm the king of sarcasm"

"I used sarcasm before you, which means I'm the queen of sarcasm, so suck it up" Mikeyla said

"Hello Mik" Scott's voice sounded

"Hi, Scott. Who else is there?" Mikeyla asked

"Uh, everyone. Kira, Malia, Lydia, Liam, Theo" Stiles said

"So the pack is together and you wanted me there too?" she asked

"Yes, we are reading the book together, at the same time" Scott said

"That's a beautiful team-building exercise really, read a homicidal book, why not?" Mikeyla said

"Sarcasm seems to run in the family" Theo mentioned from the background

"It does, Reaken, shut it" Mikeyla said. Bucky snickered from his place in the couch and Mikeyla smiled "Am I amusing you, Buck?"

"What? No, I wasn't even listening" Bucky said sarcastically snickering

"Who's with you?" Stiles asked

"My roommate" Mikeyla answered "Bucky, come meet my friends"

Bucky stood up nervously and leaned to the computed from behind her

"Hey" he greeted awkwardly

"He's a guy" Stiles said shocked and unamused

"Who would have said you had it in you, Mik?" Lydia said, and although Mikeyla couldn't see her, she was sure she had a smirk in her face

"It's not like that, Lydia" Mikeyla answered rolling her eyes

"Does dad know you have a guy living with you?" Stiles questioned

"Does dad know you and Malia kept me awake most nights?" Mikeyla retorted and Stiles blushed. Bucky smiled at the interaction between Mikeyla and her friends

"Is he at least gay?" Stiles asked. Mikeyla frowned

"I don't know" she then turned to Bucky "Are you?"

"What is 'gay'?" Bucky asked confused

"You know, homosexual. Like you like guys instead of girls" Mikeyla answered

"Oh, no. I'm not... gay" Bucky answered wondering why she even thought that

"He's not" Mikeyla said now to the screen with a smile

"Can we focus on the book?" Kira said "It kind of unnerves me"

"Right, have you found something about the author?" Mikeyla asked

"Should your roommate listen to this?" Stiles asked

"I can go" Bucky said standing up

"It's ok. He doesn't believe me anyway" Mikeyla shrugged

"You told him about us?" Malia asked

"I told him about the existence of the supernatural but he doesn't believe me. Don't worry, I haven't told anyone else and I'm not planning to. Besides, I wouldn't tell anyone your names" Mikeyla said

"I'll be in the couch" Bucky said

"Okay" Mikeyla replied with a nod

"We know who the author is. It's Valack" Lydia said

"The creepy doctor from Eichen House with an eye in his forehead?" Mikeyla asked

"Well, he doesn't have his eye anymore" Stiles said

"What did he say?" Mikeyla asked frowning

"He said he wrote the book to make the readers remember things, like their surgeries, like what we though. The thing is... Tracy was the only one who read it and she died" Stiles said

Mikeyla frowned and looked at the pages in her hands

"You can't trust this thing, guys" Mikeyla said seriously

"What? You feel something?" Stiles asked with hope

"It's a gut feeling, but... I mean, I don't know how to explain it" she struggled with her words

"It's ok. Just try. Remember when you feel the need to talk, to write or anything just do it, it's like when I want to scream, don't think about it, just do it" Lydia said

"I feel like this is a trap, like this is a clue but a distraction at the same time. Reading this will make you see things that may not even be real or important, maybe unlock memories but, who says those memories matter? I think reading it is a loss of time, because you all have something else to worry about" Mikeyla rambled and her eyed widened when she realized what she said "Guys, what aren't you telling me? You're hiding something"

"We aren't hiding anything from you" Scott said with a confused look

"Yes you are" Mikeyla said "You all are" her eyes darted to all her friends furiously as she realized it, everyone was worrying about different things

"Mik, your nose" Stiles said panicked

Hearing a panicked tone of voice, Bucky turned his head to see Mikeyla's nose bleeding, she brought her finger to her node and pull it away seeing blood. Bucky stood up quickly and took a pack of tissues rushing to Mikeyla's side crouching next to her

"Hey, you alright?" Bucky asked

"I'm fine, I just..." Mikeyla then passed out

"Mikeyla? Mikeyla!" Stiles yelled

"She passed out" Kira said panicked

"It's ok, this sometimes happens to me after I scream, it's just the exhaustion of using her powers" Lydia said

"Mikeyla? Mik?" Stiles kept trying

"She's out cold" Bucky said to the screen "What do I do?" he asked

"Just lay her down in bed and clean her face" Lydia said

"Will she be alright? What happened?" Bucky asked

"She used her abilities. She's a psychic, she suddenly knows things, but she hasn't learnt how to control it yet, that's why it takes too much energy from her" Lydia explained

"A psychic?" Bucky asked in disbelief

"She hasn't told you?" Lydia asked

"Look, dude, please just help my sister, alright?" Stiles pleaded

"I will" Bucky nodded

"Tell her to call me when she wakes up, please"

"Alright, I'll tell her"

"Thanks, please take good care of her" Bucky nodded and the screen with faces disappeared

Bucky looked at Mikeyla, she had stopped bleeding but was still passed out. He grabbed the tissues and cleaned her face, he then carried her bridal style and walked to her room, he laid her down and tucked her in. He crouched next to him

"Please be alright" he whispered to her and kissed her forehead before walking out of her room hoping that she would wake up soon
