Ch 25

"C'mon, Buck. Jason and Michael are waiting for us in the car" Micky said from outside of Bucky's bathroom

"I'm not so sure about this. It feels too tight" Bucky said

"That's normal. C'mon!" Micky called. After sighing in defeat, Bucky got out from his bathroom. Micky smiled looking at him up and down in his costume. However, Bucky's eyes widened and he gaped at Micky's costume. It was very revealing.

"Now we definitely can't go" Bucky said. Micky frowned and looked down at herself

"This is Starfire's most decent uniform" she said with a pout

"Well, it still shows too much" Bucky said

"Not that much" she frowned "It's almost as short as my cheerleading uniform from high school"

"What?! Cheerleaders used to wear long skirts that reached their feet and long sleeved blouses" Bucky said

"It's the 21st century, Buck. It's no big deal. Trust me. Now, c'mon" she said and grabbed Bucky's hand while dragging him out of the apartment

Have you seen those movies of college parties in a fraternity house full of alcohol, almost naked girls and crazy young adults? Bucky hadn't, but it was exactly like that. The four friends walked towards the front yard where small groups of people were already talking and had glasses with alcohol in their hands. Bucky looked around not really believing his eyes, when he was in college parties were never like that. They involved swing dancing and elegant clothes. Women were definitely not showing that much skin, it was almost like they were wearing only underwear.

Mikeyla looked around trying to spot the people she knew so she could decide who to stay away from, who to ignore and who could be good company. The song "Talk dirty to me" was playing through the house as they approached. Micky turned to Bucky to see his reaction to the party

"Different from the 40's, right?" She said

"Extremely different. Costumes used to be only monsters, as in ghosts and vampires and zombies. Adults didn't even dress up, it was all for the children" Bucky explained

"Well. Now everyone dresses up if they want to, some traditions still stand, like trick or treating, but only children do that" she explained

"And young adults get drunk" Bucky stated

"Teenagers do too" she said shrugging

"Drinking age used to be 18" Bucky said confused

"Oh, that's not fair. Now it's 21" she pouted "Anyways, teenagers just don't care, neither does whoever sells them alcohol" That's when a question popped in Bucky's head

"How old are you?" He asked. Bucky knew Micky was in college and technically an adult because she could live by herself, he also thought she looked younger than him physically, but he never really got a number

"I'm 18. Turning 19 in February" she said "You're like 98, right?" Bucky nodded "If anyone asks, you're 27"

"Ok" Bucky agreed with a shrug

They entered the party holding hands and looked around. There were balloons in the ceiling, bright lights flashing.

The loud sound and lack of visual made Bucky uncomfortable, he squeezed Micky's hand tighter and tensed up, Micky noticed and frowned worriedly. She then started leading him to the backyard, there was also people there but the music wasn't so loud and it was better lit than the inside, she guided him to an edge of a window and they sat down

"You alright?" She asked

"Yeah... yeah it was just... different" he said

"We can leave if you want to" Micky offered

"No. No, I have to be able to handle things like this, right?" He said

"Not necessarily. It's not like we will be partying hard that often" she said with a smile. Bucky gave a small smile back

"It shouldn't affect me this much" he said, clearly upset

"You have had a hard life, Buck. It's alright to react like this. You are handling it really well" Micky comforted. Bucky didn't answer so Micky tried to cheer him up "Let's make you smile. There is a guy dressed as a devil by the pool, look discreetly" Bucky turned around to loom for the guy "I said look discreetly!" Micky said giggling

"Sorry" he chuckled

"Well, he's drunk. He likes the blonde girl that dressed up as a angel. His friend came as a knight and is trying to keep him from declaring his love to the girl" she said "but he's too drunk. He'll fall into the pool, throw up or fall down"

"How can you be so sure?" Bucky asked

"Keep looking" she said with a smile

The guy dressed as a devil and the knight were talking and it could be seen they were arguing, the guy as a devil was about to leave and the knight tried to reach for him. In the process, both of them fell into the pool. The people surrounding the laughed. Bucky watched with wide eyes and gaped while Micky giggled

"How did you do that?" He asked

"Well, I know some people in here and he kept glancing at her. I kind of read him" she explained

"I know how to read body language, it's not that advanced" Bucky said, Micky chuckled

"I guess it comes with being a psychic" she said with a shrug. A smirk formed in her lips as she turned to Bucky

"What?" He asked

"So you know how to read body language?" She asked

"Yeah" he answered frowning with confusion

"So..." she slid closer to him to the point where their legs were touching, Bucky blushed and gulped "what is my body telling you, soldier?" She smirked. Bucky let out a shaky laugh

"You are a tease" Bucky said smiling in amusement "How come I never saw this side of you before?"

"I am a shy person"

"Yeah right" Bucky didn't believe her

"I'm serious. The only reason I can flirt with you is because I know you reciprocate my feelings. If I didn't know that I wouldn't even try" she said

"You're still a tease" he said

"Only to you" she said before pecking his cheek. She stood up and offered him a hand "Let's go dance" she said "you gotta learn how to dance in this century. It's not that hard really, you just sway your body and jump sometimes"

"That sounds like a children's game" Bucky said taking her hand and standing up

"Trust me, there's nothing childish about this. It's actually rather..." she smirked "dirty"

That's how Bucky found himself in an ocean of college students moving and jumping around. He bumped into some as they entered the crowd and stiffened. Mikeyla noticed and turned around to face him

"Hey!" she called putting her hands in his cheek and looking at him in the eye "It's alright! No one will recognize you! No one is going to hurt you! Just focus on me, alright!?" She had to yell over the music, Bucky nodded. Micky moved her hands and took his moving them to her waist, she let go and wrapped her hands behind Bucky's neck "Just sway your body to the music!"

Bucky nodded. Micky started moving her hips side to side, her head also started to move. Bucky only looked at her before trying to pick up the rythm. He started moving his feet side to side awkwardly

"I don't know how to move!" he yelled over the music

"No rules! Just move however you want!" Micky yelled already dancing to the rhythm

Bucky slowly tried to move before finally being able to move to the rhythm. He didn't do any difficult dance moves, only moved around to the beat and smiled. Micky smiled and turned her back to him and started swaying against his body. Bucky froze not knowing what to do

"It's alright! It's a hot dance! You can touch me, Buck!" Micky said

Bucky hesitantly put his hand on her waist. Micky moved her hips and brushed her body against him. Suddenly they were both dancing to the beat. Bucky had to admit he liked it when Micky danced with him. Either a ballroom dance or this... clubbing dance. He liked it. He smiled and leaned to Micky's exposed neck

Micky froze as chills ran through her body. She moved her head to give him more space and he started kissing her skin while wrapping his arms around her waist bringing her closer, not even realizing it, his thumbs started rubbing circles in her bare stomach. Micky moved closer and pressed her butt to Bucky's front. Bucky then turned her around and kissed her in the lips. Micky kissed back and hugged him closer

"You were right" he breathed out once they pulled apart "that was damn hot" he smiled leaving Micky to only giggle happily.
