The Witch and The Hybrid

Chapter 1-Emilia's P.O.V

"Emma" I hear my brother Emmett yelling. I open my eyes but quickly close them cause the sun light stings them. I slowly take the comforter off myself and slide my legs over the side of my bed. I put my hands over my face and rub it, I finally open my eyes and pick up my phone to see the time "7:30 am" I sigh. What the hell is wrong with him? Waking me up this early, he must have a death wish or something. I get up off my bed and head to the bathroom to start my morning routine.

After my shower I head into my enormous walk-in closet to get dressed, I look through my clothes and finally decide on a pair of cut-off jean shorts, a purple tank top and a pair of wedged sandals. I go to my dresser and take out a white bra with matching boy-shorts underwear, I get dressed then head over to my vanity table to deal with my hair and make-up. I put my long auburn hair into a nice french braid, I don't want to put a lot of make-up on because it's summer and it'll just melt off my face from sweat. I put on some eyeliner and a little mascara, I pick a light rosy lip gloss. I put on a heart shaped locket necklace that my friend Michael gave me for my 16th birthday, it's the only necklace I ever wear. I put on a pair of small hoop earrings then take a once over in the mirror then garb my phone and purse then walk out my room.

I head downstairs and walk into the kitchen to find my annoying twin brother at the table eating breakfast. Emmett is about 6'1 and built like an amateur wrestler, he has auburn hair like mine, he has more freckles than I do on his face, he has blue-grey eyes like mine. Sitting next to him is our baby sister Bonnie, she's my parent's later in life baby. She's 4 years old with sun kissed red hair that curls at the ends, she has the bluest eyes you could ever see.

"Look who's finally up" Emmett said in a sarcastic voice not even looking away from his food. "I thought you were going to spend all day in bed" he says with a smirk.

"Shut up" I shot back at him while making my way to the table to sit. I take a seat next to Bonnie and rub her hair. "Good morning Bon Bon" I say smiling at her as I kiss her forehead, she just smiles at me and goes back to her cereal. She looks so cute in her blue jean overalls with a baby blue t-shirt and blue sandals. Her hair is in pigtails and she has some bangs covering her forehead. "What would you like to do today Bon Bon?" I ask her as I put pancakes on my plate. She looks up at the ceiling and puts her finger to her chin so I know she's thinking hard. I take my mug and put my index finger on the rim and coffee starts filling up the mug. I look at Bonnie again and she's still looking at the ceiling so I finally give her a suggestion, "How about we go to the zoo or park?". She finally looks at me with sparkling eyes and nods her head in agreement. "Okay, we'll go to the zoo first and then the park later for a picnic and a movie since they're showing a movie today at the park" I told her and she smiled.

"Sounds like fun" Emmett says looking up from his plate. "What time does the movie start?" he asks me.

"7 pm" I reply without looking at him. I finish my food and take my dishes to the sink. "Come on Bon Bon let's get you cleaned up and changed" I said picking her up and taking her upstairs to her room.

Once I've got Bonnie cleaned and changed I pack up her small backpack with extra clothes and toys for the day and head downstairs with her in my arms. My parents work so Emmett and I are usually the ones taking care of her and I'm okay with that, I love spending time with her cause in the Fall we won't be here with her. Emmett and I will be attending Waverton College of Witchcraft in California in the Fall, our older brother Eric is already attending he's in his 3rd year. Because of this I plan on spending more time with Bonnie this summer so we can make good memories that she can hang on to while we're gone. As I reach the living room I hear my phone ring. "Hello" I say putting it to my ear.

"Hello beautiful" I hear a husky male voice on the other end.

"Hey Michael" I reply back as I blush. I've had a crush on him since the 4th grade, he'd a hybrid(half witch half genie), he's 5'11 with wavy brown hair that he usually has in a ponytail, he has the most amazing hazel eyes that if you stare into them you could get lost.

"What are you up to today?" he asks

"Taking Bonnie to the zoo and then to movie in the park later" I reply. "Do you want to join us?" I ask him hoping he'll say yes.

"Wish i could" he says with disappointment. "My parents and I have a meeting with the council this morning, but I can meet you for the movie later" he says.

"Are you okay?" I asked him wondering what's going on.

"Yeah" he replied with a sigh. "We just have to discuss my options and figure out which side I have to choose" he sighed again.

"Hey, don't worry too much about it" I tell him knowing he could hear the smile in my voice. "It doesn't matter what the council says, it only matters what you feel. It's your choice not theirs" I tell him.

"I know" he sighs. "But what if I don't want to choose? What if my choice is wrong? What if I choose and then change my mind when it's too late" he tells me with concern in his voice.

"If you want I could help you decide" I tell him with hope in my voice. I'm hoping that he wouldn't feel as pressured to make a choice if he had someone to help him think threw it.

"That's sweet of you Emma" he started saying with a sigh. "But this is something I have to do on my own". I feel bad for him and I wish he would let me help, but I understand why he won't.

"Okay, I understand" I tell him. "Call me when you get out of the meeting okay" i tell him with a smile.

"Okay" he says back before hanging up.

I put my phone in my purse then looked at Bonnie who was sitting on the couch in a pair of black jean shorts and a pink t-shirt. "Ready to go?" I ask her, she gives me a big bright smile and nods.
