Chapter: 4

2 Years later-

Edward's PoV~

"Dada are you ready?" Olivia inquired, while raising her eyebrows.

I turned to look at my princess who just came to the groom's room to literally scold him on his wedding day for getting late. Not that I mind though.

"Almost, princess." I said and I could see the glare she shot towards me. I gulped seeing her deadly glare.

"Dada you aren't the bride here.You are the groom for f***s sake. Get ready fast. I don't want my Alice to wait cuz of you."

My Alice??? I mean, like seriously, My Alice? Did she just forget that I'm her dada? And she has known me longer than she has known her. I know she loves her new mom very much but how can she forget me so easily. Her dada who has been by her side for so long. I internally wailed like a baby.

But I like the bond between Alice and Olivia too. I haven't seen Olivia this excited and cheerful, since the past 2 years. After that horrible incident, she had completely lost her happiness and smile. She would refuse to talk with anyone and wouldn't eat anything. All day she would lock herself in her room, while she sobbed seeing, Ava's and Jane's pictures. I would be just standing by her door listening to her cries and shouts, but I couldn't do anything. I felt so damn helpless. Almost every night she would wake up due to the nightmares and would get panic attacks after that. I tried so many times to ask her to see a therapist. But every time she refused to do so. For 2 years, it went like that.

But, then 3 months ago, I felt like our whole life changed. I took Olivia to the park, for which of course I had to emotionally blackmail her to agree, saying that if she didn't then she doesn't love her dada anymore. Reluctantly, she agreed. But even so she wouldn't talk. Until one day she met Alice, I swear that in the past 2 years, I had never seen her talking that much to anyone. And Alice too talked with her very nicely. The next day, she requested, that I take her to that park again. I was surprised at first that she asked me for something after such a long time and that too, to take her outside. But I quickly hid my happiness and shock from her, while I nodded.

Then in the evening, I again saw her talking very happily with Alice and smiling. I had never seen her smile after that accident. That day I decided, something...that I would ask Alice to marry me. So, Olivia could get a mother's love.

I proposed to Alice and she too accepted it happily. I still remember the look on my princess's face when I told her that Alice is gonna be her new mom. She was over the moon after hearing that.

I came out of the past memories, into the reality, when Olivia exclaimed suddenly.

"Oh dada, you're looking so dashing."

That's just when I realised that I was fully ready by now. I was wearing a navy blue tuxedo and my hair was perfectly brushed up with the help of the gel, giving it a very neat and elegant look. "You should look into the mirror, for how attractive you are looking right now." She squealed like a little child.

"Thanks, princess. And no need for that."

My baby's compliment is enough for me. No need to look in the mirror for reassurance cuz I believe my angel. I thought and smiled seeing her being all joyful.

A/n PoV~

After getting ready Edward and Olivia both went towards the Wedding Hall. The hall looked so lavish and costly that anyone could tell it was the world's most richest and powerful billionaire's wedding. There was a lot of lightning on the occasion and chandeliers with crystals and diamonds embedded in them were hung on the ceiling. The whole aisle was decorated with very rare and expensive flowers.

Every single billionaire, millionaires and CEOs were invited to the wedding. In fact, some of the close Mafia friends of Edward were present there too. It was the most luxurious wedding anyone can ever imagine.

Edward walked through the aisle with his groomsmen by his side. He reached the stage and there he saw Alice waiting for her, all excited with her bridesmaids. She was wearing a long white, off- shoulder gown with her hair tied in a tight bun. She was looking so gorgeous that, if any of the other men had seen her like that. They would have instantly fall for her beauty but not Edward. He wasn't even a bit interested in her cuz all of his love and attention was only for his princess.

Alice PoV~

I smiled at Edward as I saw him coming towards me. He was looking so damn handsome in that tuxedo. While his hair was set up in a very dashing and elegant way. He was just looking like the perfect groom any woman would ever dream off.

My heart is filled with warmth and happiness, knowing my love will soon become my husband. Yes, it's right I Love Edward Warner.

Since, I met him for the first time in the park, I fell very hard for him. Every day he would bring his daughter. Olivia and I would talk for hours there, while I would take a glance at him, from time to time. He is handsome and attractive for sure but what caught my eyes wasn't his looks. Instead, it was his adoration and love for his daughter.

The first time I saw him, was when he was trying to make Olivia laugh. My heart instantly, filled with fondness for them. And the next moment, I could see my feet going toward their direction. I thought that I would like to be the reason for his daughter's smile. And I did that, Olivia and I got along pretty well. Now, she loves me like her mother while I love her like my own baby. She is so sweet and kind and I am so thankful to her that she came in my life cause it's all due to her that I will ever get the chance to marry my love of life.

Yeah, I know that Edward only proposed to me for her, and that he has no wish for a wife but instead he wants me as a mother for his daughter. It's fine, I can be that, at least I will be close to him and then I will try to win his heart too.

A/n PoV~

Poor Alice. Now who would tell her, that Edward Warner's heart only beat for one person and that is Olivia Warner.

Olivia PoV~

Soon the wedding ceremony began. And dada and Alice started taking vows for their marriage.

"Do you Alice Burton take Edward Warner as your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you apart ??" The priest asked.

"I do." Alice exclaimed happily. I was happy for her too. But somehow, I felt a little sad. I don't know why, cause after all I liked Alice so much. She was the only person who made me laugh and smile after mom's and Jane's death. In fact, I now love her like my own mom. I agreed to this marriage by myself, too.

Then...why...is this wedding breaking my heart??

"Do you Edward Warner take Alice Burton as your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to live and to cherish, till death do you apart ??" The priest continued with the vows.

Dada didn't answered instantly. Instead, he looked at me. I could see his eyes examining mine, as if...he is searching for something in them. Like maybe......a hint of Jealousy or Sadness!!!??? I could tell that. I admit that I am a bit unhappy from his wedding and a part of me wanted him to say no. But I didn't utter a word and just looked into his eyes and for a moment, I swear...I saw rage and anger in them. But for whom I couldn't process it. Maybe...For me!!!???

Then he said those words which made me take all of my strength to hold back my tears and not to bawl loudly right there at the moment.

"I do." Those words made me feel so much pain in my chest.

"I hereby announce you both husband and wife." The priest proclaimed.

I just watched them with hurt in my eyes as the priest said those words.

"You may now kiss." My world stopped at that moment. I already saw them get married but now, I can't bear to watch them kiss too. No! I can't, so I left, from there, without telling anyone.

And as soon as I got out of the wedding hall, my tears started to roll down on my cheeks. It was all dark and I didn't knew where I was going, but still I was walking. Not caring about how people passing by were all giving me a weird look. Cause at that time all I cared about was that my dada got married to Alice. And my heart was in pain.

But suddenly I bumped into something, that felt like a......rock-hard wall??

I was almost about to fall so I closed my eyes out of instinct. I thought I would fall onto the ground and surely crack my head. But that never happened instead, I felt two strong arms wrapping around my waist, preventing me from hitting the ground.

And that's when I realised, that it wasn't a wall, instead it was someone's rock hard chest. And I just accidentally bumped into someone.
