Rowan put his hands up in surrender.
“Okay, it was a bad idea. I just wanted you to get some fresh air."
Now that I think about it, it wasn't such a bad idea. Staying in this room made me sick and hearing all this news made me even sicker..
“Alright, I'll go. Please let Nat come with me and probably a million guards."
He laughed.
“As long as you remain in the confines of this pack, no one will harm you. You can walk around freely without feeling like a prisoner in your own home. "
His words gave me some kind of relief and that was all I needed in this present situation.
I put in something warmer and we both went downstairs. While he went to fetch Nat, I waited in the living room. The stares I was getting from the maids let me know my nightmare was true.
