Rowan just stared back at Evie without saying a word. I didn't know that either. I knew what she was trying to do and it was working.
“You’ve changed, Rowan. The former Rowan would never let anything slip through him. Maybe you're losing your edge. It's all because of her.”
Rowan, don't let her get inside your head please. I pleaded in my head.
“I heard about it. It's none of your business either way. Anything else?”
He walked away from her while her mouth was open. I couldn't hold back my laughter and she heard me so she looked up with a very angry frown on her face.
