Emilia POV ''Liam, ooohh sounds so ravishing,'' Chloe said. We were walking towards my car after school when I told her about Liam being in my class. ''I mean don't you think it's a sign of something? You like poetry and he likes poetry, huh,'' she continued. ''No, not at all. I barely know him. It's probably his interest.'' ''Mm, yeah sure,'' she mocked and I laughed. We went inside my car and drove off to Chloe's house. I dropped by and say hi to her mom and dad. After, I went drove back to my house as my mom was preparing for the dinner with Liam's family. ''Hi sweetie, how was school?' She asked as soon as I stepped in the kitchen. ''Making some fried rice and teriyaki chicken.'' ''School was good and that sounds delicious.'' ''Mom! Why is the wifi acting up?'' My little brother Max said. ''Max, you're worried about the wifi when you need to do your homework!'' She shouts. ''A syllabus is not a homework mom!" He wined. ''Maxim Christopher I swear---'' ''Okay! Okay! Sheesh!'' He said then went back to his room. ''I'll be home soon, going to the bayou for a bit,'' I said to my mom before heading upstairs. ''Okay well make it quick I want to make a first impression--'' ''-- Yes, yes I know,'' I cut her off. Going up to my room, I placed my hair in a high bun and switched out of my comfortable clothes. After, I grabbed my sketchbook and head back downstairs going towards the front door. I went down the street and head over to the Bayou. I sat down on the bench and begin to pull out my sketchbook. Water was flowing through the river slowly and I picked up of coloring the edges of the tree in my sketchbook. From a distance, I saw a male figure body, shirtless, with a strong muscular back and tattoos of symbols. I leaned forward all the way to see who the guy was and ended up in the water within matter seconds. The guy wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me close, gently rubbing my arm. He swam onto the shore and placed me down on the ground. I was coughing rigidly and wheezed, rolling over to the side. I sat back up and smear the water away from my face and finally looked at the guy who rescued me. ''Liam?'' I questioned softly. ''Are you okay? Are you hurt?'' He asked. I was hypnotized by his brilliant green eyes and his full pink lips. His brown curls were wet dripping down on his broad shoulders with tattoos on them. He moves closer with those eyes that look so deeply into mine, "Are you okay?'' He asked again. My breathing becomes softer, the pensive look melting into a smile as soft as the morning light. ''Yeah, I'm... I'm fine, thank you.'' He extended his arm out for me to get up from the ground. Our hands interlocked and I was able to get back off the ground and shake off the dirt from my shirt and pants. ''s**t,'' I whispered. ''I got a jacket in my trunk if you want to burrow?'' He said to me. I looked up and bit my bottom lip, glaring at his eyes and his amazing deep v-line six-pack self. ''No thanks I can go home.'' He chuckles. ''You sure about that?'' ''Positive.'' He looked at my sketchbook and said ''What were you drawing?'' ''Uh.. just a bunch of things. Random things,'' I said. ''Random things?'' ''Like trees, birds, and what not.'' ''That's pretty interesting for someone like you.'' ''What does that mean?'' ''Nothing. I'm saying it's quite interesting.'' I mouthed ''Okay.'' ''I should go, it was nice seeing you, Emilia.'' I couldn’t find my voice. I felt my cheeks flushed hot, and my stomach was heavy. My heart pounded in my throat, threatening to break out. ''Yeah you too,'' I whispered. ....... [ An hour later ] The doorbell ringed and Max was the first person to get it. He welcomed Liam's parents, including himself then introduced him to my mother. ''Please call me Claudine,'' My mom said. ''Claudine, it's a pleasure to meet you,'' said Liam's mother, Angela. ''We're so glad to be here,'' James, Liam's father added. ''Well, come right in. This is Emilia and my son Max,'' she introduced us. ''Hi, a pleasure to meet you,'' I said to them. ''Pleasure to meet you too,'' the two of them said. My eyes moved from the back and saw Liam walking in and closing the door behind him. He was wearing a black tee shirt with dark blue jeans and his hair was up in a man-bun, the usual. ''Oh, Emilia this is--'' ''--Liam,'' I said. ''You guys know each other?'' Max said. ''Yeah, and apparently we go to the same school,'' Liam said to Max. His eyes were lighter, like a meadow on a summer day. He locked eye contact with me and I nervous place my head down. ''Okay, shall we eat?'' My mom said.
