" You expect me to believe that you would endanger the lives of ten when pieces of cut fruit make you cry?" he asked as he smoothed his hand down my back. The tears kept flowing as I let out my emotions on his shoulder, my hand holding his shirt tight. The warmth he provided was enough to make me break down under all the stress I had been ignoring. It wasn't just the fruits as it was more of how at home I felt in his presence. It occurred to me that I was losing more than I thought I was and I realised that I didn't want to let go. I held on to him tightly, my forehead on his shoulder as I continued bowling my eyes out. It felt good to cry it out as he soothed my tense body with whispers that aimed at comfort. The sobs that raked my body slowly stopped as I found comfort in his embrace.
