A BIZARRE BATTLE

2194 Words
Some of us fought in our human forms while the rest fought in their wolf form. I carried a bow and arrow as I shot down the Neon pack wolves one by one from the elevated hill they were hiding behind as they jumped aiming for a poorly coordinated ambush. They relied on the witches for most of their attacks and their attack coordination and quality was sloppy. With no military training or preparation, they aimed to outsmart us in a sport we were experts at, war. Since we were the leaders of the wolf kingdom we have represented the kingdom in every war and have brought about victory. We fought off the hunters a year before, outdid the witches some years back and have been able to train every wolf in the pack who is an adult the art of fighting so a defeat from a power-obsessed arrogant Alpha is out of the question. While a number of us fought, some have been ordered by Alpha Alexander to infiltrate the Neon pack and rescue the humans in captivity. The Alphas fought each other after taking out the people in the middle and their growls shook the forest and as they jumped to claw at one another, they dug the earth with their legs to build momentum leaving the ground destroyed. Though they weren’t trained in the art of war, they were strong opponents and I liked that they weren’t as weak and mediocre as they spoke. Jacob fought in his wolf form to my right as he bit the hind leg of Beta Simon and threw him to his right making him hit a tree and an audible c***k was heard from the impact. The growls from the wolves echoed through the silent forest as they destroyed the area completely. Blood splattered across the ground as I continued injuring Neon wolves and any Neon who fought in their human form. We aimed to back them at the far left corner of the area as there was a couple of set up traps waiting for them. The witches floated above the war ground and delivered countless attacks. During a discussion last night, we had decided to avoid the witches completely until we corner them in the spot of set up traps and until then, watch out for one another to avoid irrecoverable loss. Maria and a few other witches hovered around the Alphas’ fight as they aimed to kill Alpha Alexander so I aimed at Maria’s arm and shot the arrow. Since she was so preoccupied with my Alpha, she couldn’t doge in time and so the arrow dug into her arm. She hissed and looked around to look for the perpetrator when I moved to the front. In her anger, she started throwing bolts of lightning and some green stuff that destroyed the forest even more and took a few lives of both packs. The war continued at full swing with some using their combat skills and others fought with swords while a few from my pack carried the bow and arrow. As I aimed at a wolf who was jumping towards me, he suddenly or she swiftly moved to my right with so much agility and speed that I missed by a whole centimetre. The wolf landed a few feet to my right swirling to come face to face with me as I prepared my stance for battle. His gaze held so much intensity that I wondered who he was. Crouching down, he dug his hind legs on the ground and jumped on me making me move aside and he landed near me. I grabbed an arrow as a weapon when he suddenly jumped again and I crouched down, sliding beneath him and using the tip of the arrow to completely injure his back left leg. Blood splattered all over us as he landed with a holler of pain. He used the front legs as support with no intention of shifting to his human form. He snarled at me, carrying the bleeding leg up as he walked towards me for another round. His steps were measured as he came towards me, this time slow as he studied my movements closely. I made a fatal mistake when I reached for my bow after creating some distance between us and in that moment he attacked, digging his claws into my shoulder as we fell on the ground with him on top of me. He bit my shoulder as he used his legs as leverage to pin me down as I struggled to move and with my left hand, I pushed at his neck to stop his teeth from completely snapping my shoulder off but to no avail. The pain in my shoulder multiplied with every passing second when I reached for his injured leg, nearly ripping my shoulder off in the process and twisted it the other way. He hollered in pain momentarily letting go of my shoulder and I took the chance to push him off me with my elbow. We both lay in pain for a few seconds, mine more than his and as I tried to stand up with my other hand as leverage, the pain shot through me and I nearly stumbled down. I grit my teeth, not ready to lose even if it killed me and I stood up to find him limping his way towards me, the fiery intensity in his eyes as clear as day. I moved backwards as I cut my shirt in half, exposing my stomach and used the material to tie my shoulder area and reduce the bleeding. I tightened the knot with my teeth when I bumped into another Neon pack member in his human form. I was between the enemy with a nearly dislocated shoulder and I decided to quickly calculate what I should do. The wolf walked towards me slowly and when he was a few feet away, he crouched down and I immediately knew what he was doing. By digging his hind legs in the ground he would be using all the energy he had left to deliver a blow and since there was another Neon pack member behind me, he was sure that he wouldn’t miss. I slowly pulled an arrow out with my uninjured hand as I waited for him to jump. He suddenly jumped and the human Neon also took a step in front in an attempt to hold my shoulders or push me forward when I bent my knee. I used the tip of the arrow to cut his stomach and quickly moved to the right. The wolf fell an inch in front of the man who was crouched in pain as he hollered due to the impact of the fall. The sudden movement made my shoulder bleed even more and the pain was unbearable. I would heal but that takes about six hours so for now, I have to avoid any serious confrontations if I can or just use one side of the body. I decided to shift into my wolf to ease the pain on my shoulder. The ripping of clothes caught the attention of the two who were on the ground in pain and they watched as I shifted into my black wolf. My eyes could see better and my ears could hear the growling of wolves and the whispers and cries of the humans. The wolf used all his strength to stand back up for another round and since he had hit the ground quite hard, he was in a lot of pain. He walked towards me slowly and we circled one another. I jumped on his back and bit the back of his neck when he suddenly started shaking to throw me off and I dug my teeth deeper into his neck. He growled in pain and when I was sure there was enough damage, I let go abruptly, landing a few feet away. I ran into the field as I tackled one wolf after the other, being careful not to hurt my shoulder even more until a wolf of larger size blocked my path. He angled his head down as he glared at me and I narrowed my eyes at him as I snarled. He suddenly jumped and I did the same. We met in the middle each of us snapping our teeth when we suddenly passed one another and landed on the ground, each of us having the others leg between our teeth. He held on to my leg as I bit into his harder as we moved in circles. His teeth dug into my leg deeper and I handled the pain by gritting my teeth subsequently digging into his leg deeper. We both let go at the same time and limped our way to face off again. The wound on my shoulder started bleeding again and the pain made me whimper. Witchy Maria took that opportunity to throw a bolt of air at me and I was sent flying until a tree stopped me abruptly. I hit the tree with my back and fell to the ground with a thud. My bleeding shoulder hit the ground as I landed and I had a c***k making me cry out in pain. Placing one leg after the other on the ground, I shook like a newborn fowl as o tried to get up. Blood was oozing out of my mouth and shoulder. My front legs shook like leaves in the wind and I found myself unable to get up. I lay on the ground for some seconds as I took some breaths in and out and slowly cracked my back since the impact had nearly broken it. I stood up slowly, one leg after the other and when I was on all fours, I was ready to face the next opponent. I didn’t have to wait long as the wolf from earlier was already standing a few feet away ready to pounce on my very injured body. He came at me at full speed and I stood there as I awaited him to come close. Since he was running with so much speed, he couldn’t break in time when I suddenly moved to the right making him hit the tree that stood behind me headfirst. The witchy powers struck again and the lightning cut the tree in half barely missing his left ear. He didn’t look deterred due to this fact though as he stood up almost immediately, shaking his head and giving me a look I had seen before. The intensity of his gaze mirrored that of the wolf I fought before him and I felt it before I saw it. His movements seemed controlled, like a robot while at other times his coordination was sloppy in an impossible manner. As he nipped at any part of me he could and tried to crush me under his weight a few times, my eye caught something strange. A few feet in the air stood a young girl who was twisting her hands and on closer observation, the wolf’s actions matched the frequency of her movements. I got injured too easily and this being the first time, I should have suspected something but I overestimated the enemy instead. My opponent was not injured and had the help of magic while I was barely standing. My shoulder should have started healing by now at least a little but it was throbbing and I immediately came to the conclusion that I was either poisoned or the witch was working on me. As the witches from the right threw magic haphazardly, they hit the earth with more force than it could handle and the ground shook. I was already on my last legs and I couldn’t withstand a shaking so as much as I tried to stand through the pain, I found myself on the ground. I felt dizzy and tired. The frustration of the silly mistakes I had been making throughout the entirety of this battle was slowly driving me insane but I wasn’t done yet. With the little strength that was left in my frail body, I slowly stood up ready to face the big wolf who was coming at me and the aura he gave off was that of murder. I waited for him to come to me as I felt my head throb in pain and my bones slowly c***k under the pressure. He had help and I was helpless. I might have been stupid to go against him in that state but I was a general and we never ran from a battle though this might just be the most bizarre battle I have ever been in. He jumped and I jumped a second later making sure to be a bit below him. With my claws, I dug at his stomach which was above me as I landed. He growled in pain when the ground beneath us cracked. The wolves continued fighting without a care in the world and all the stomping and throwing made the c***k larger. A large area sank and we were thrown into the abyss.
