Lucy and I decided to head out of the campus, making our way towards the nearby park, talking and absorbing our new neighbourhood. Trams whizzing by us, cars beeping people, all seemed in a hurry. We watched lots of busy people with carts, wheeling and carrying their groceries. Arriving at the park, we saw there were trees, swings, seesaws, a jungle gym, a sandpit, a slippery dip, a skate ramp, plus a small BMX bike track. We watched from the seesaw as a group of six kids about the same age as us did all kinds of fancy bike manoeuvres: 180s, jumps, wheelies, and no-handers. We were pretty impressed.
