Patrick and Harry threw themselves into life at Trial Bay.
They were also unexpectedly allocated idyllic sites upon which to build their own cottages. So welcome were they both made that the prisoners of Trial Bay assisted their new guests to locate and haul local rock and suitable framing timber to those sites. Experienced stonemasons then worked with Patrick and Harry to produce hand sketches to guide them with the construction work ahead.
