14 A year seemed to pass in a flash, by which time not only was the Trial Bay jail close to completion, but so too were Patrick’s and Harry’s cottages. ‘I’ve been thinking,’ said Patrick to Harry as they sat in their favourite place overlooking the bay. ‘There are many more free families living here than this time last year, and even if the jail was one hundred percent complete, it’s currently housing less than a third of its capacity.’ ‘Yeah, so what’s on your mind Patrick?’ ‘That it’s time to move on.
