Saving my Mate

Alex's POV

The divine scent of lilies reached my nose. My heart started beating faster and faster, all I could concentrate on was the smell of lilies.

"Is it Achilles, but how is it possible?"

"She has something of our mate."

When Lady Alexia said that if we didn't find her daughter in twenty-four hours, that disgusting wizard would mate with her something exploded inside me and I dropped the strongest growl ever.

If my suspicions are true no one will take my beloved from me.

'What is happening to you?' Liam asked me through our link, but I didn’t answer.

"Lady Alexia do you have anything from your daughter with you, something with her scent, or something she wore recently?" I ask.

"Yes I have." She replied. Then she opened the bag and took out an emerald scarf that had the divine scent of roses and lilies. "This is the scarf she wore last night. It still has her scent." She said and handed it to me.

I took the scarf and brought it to my face. The scent of my beloved enveloped me and penetrated all my pores. My heartbeat calmed down, my anger disappeared.

"What is her name?"

"Lydia." She said. "I knew you'd understand Alex."

"I understand. Now is it important that we find her as soon as possible? How much time do you think she has left until the shield gives way?"

"If I calculated well another eighteen hours.

Here, take this too." She said and handed me the emerald bracelet. It was just a piece of jewelry as far as I could see. "Is enchanted so you can follow her more easily."

"Does this have another piece?"

"That it is a bracelet with two parts, it is connected to the ring over the back."

"It was not violently torn off." I said.

"No it didn't, she used magic. Lydia left it for me to find it for you." She said proudly, smiling at me.

"My girl is smart."

"I don't understand a word of what you two said." My father said.

"When the time comes for that, you will understand Alpha, believe me." Lady Alexia said.

I didn't listen to their conversation anymore, none of them interested me anymore. I took Lydia's bracelet and started muttering the spell. You wonder how a werewolf knows anything about magic and spells. Well, my mother is a fairy. Fairies are magical beings, they use magic and spells. But their magic is different from the magic used by witches.

I am a strong wolf, I inherited a gene from my father. So I don't have wings like my sister who inherited the gene from our mother and I can't use magic to the extent that my mother and sister use it, but because my mother is of noble origin I could combine the magic I inherited from her with my wolf genome.

That is why I am the best tracker in the kingdom. I can see where everything was the person I was looking for with only one thing that person owned. Cool isn't it.

And my beautiful princess left me a perfect trail.

As I uttered the spell over and over again, I began to feel her heartbeat first. She's alive, thank God.

'Come on baby girl talk to me. Show me everything you've been through. Come on my love, come on, show me yourself baby.'

And then it started. The first thing I saw were beautiful emerald eyes. Then I heard her laugh. And then the picture became clearer and I stood in the garden of the castle near the forest and watched everything through Lydia's eyes.

POV through Lydia's eyes

The sun shone brightly in the sky, dancing on the canopy of the pine forest. The grass was so soft under Lydia's feet. The day was wonderful and everything was so peaceful . The children's laughter echoed through the courtyard, members of the royal service hurriedly finished their work, running quietly through the courtyard.

Lydia wanted to be alone, so she stepped deeper into the forest and sat under a tree.

She started chanting the spell, and a few seconds later Alex appeared in front of her. She watched him train with his warriors.

('You're spying on me baby girl, hm, I'll remember that.')

Then the scene changed and Alex saw himself in the shower through Lydia's eyes.

'I'm glad you like my body baby girl.'

Alex smirk to himself.

Then the scene changed again. But this time a girl Alex didn't know appeared.

"What are you doing here, Katherina?" Lydia asked.

"Oh, come on, don't be like that, look, I brought you your favorite flowers."

Then she handed her a bouquet of red roses. Lydia hesitated but eventually accepted it.

"I would like to go to the hut at the end of the sum in which we played as if we were children." Katherina said.

"I can't, I have duties that I have to complete."

"Come on, I really want to talk to you."

"Okay, but only for ten minutes."

"What you wanted to talk about." Lydia asked.

"You know the prince is my beloved don't you?"

"We both know that's not true Katherina, Daniel still hasn't found his beloved." Lydia said calmly. "Why are you doing this? Why do you reject your destiny and your loved one? Why are you trying to imprint with someone else's man?"

"You're just jealous, you want a prince for yourself."

"No Katherina you're wrong. Daniel and I are just friends. I found my beloved."

"Really, then where is he?"

"It is still not the right time for us, it is all the plan of the Moon Goddess. You have to wait for the right time to meet your soulmate."

"You're lying, you've always lied. You just want to be with the prince. But I won't let you do that. I will be a princess, I will be a queen. And everyone will forget you very soon. And if you really have your mate he will kill him to be with you."

"What are you talking about?"

The man came out hidden behind a tree.

"My name is Theodore, beautiful, and you, you come with me."

"I've already planted the bombs you gave me in the underground passages." Katherina said.

"Don't worry about my prince, I made sure he wasn't in the castle today."

"You pathetic, stupid, arrogant, evil b***h. Daniel will never be with you. You are not part of his future. And I don't have to be a seer to know that after this you no longer have a future."

"Can you please take her, and give me what you promised me. Give me the spell to change the future and become Daniel soulmate."

Theodore burst out laughing. "You really believed that I could change something that the Moon Goddes herself had done. You're really pathetic."

Hearing this, Katherina suffered a nervous breakdown.

"But you promised me."

"I lied, honey."

Katherina then screamed loudly and hurried towards Theodore. "I'll kill you, wizard."

With one gentle wave of his hand, Theodore glued Katherina to the nearest tree.

"Don't even think you have a chance against me. The only reason I won't kill you is that you brought me my future queen, but don't worry when they find you and find out what you did, your beloved prince will personally break your neck."

While Theodore was busy with Katherina, Lydia quietly chanted the spell, until her emerald bracelet detached from the ring and fell to the ground.

'Find me my love.' Lydia whispered.

'And now, my beautiful queen, shall we?'

He took her hand, chanted the spell, and the next moment Lydia found herself in an unfamiliar room.

'Where are we?'

'This is your new room. From now on you will live here with me, in my castle.'

'Why are you doing this to me?'

'See, it's all your mother's fault. I was very much in love with her. But she didn't even want to look at me. She, a pure blood witch, chose a vampire instead of me. I was desperate, I promised her the Moon and the stars, but she didn't even want to look at me. So I swore I would take revenge. Your mother, your father, and that b***h from the former queen drove me out of the kingdom, the company of wizards kicked me out of the squad. And all because of your mother."

"No, it wasn't because of my mother, it all happened to you because of you. Because you wanted to be with someone else's beloved. What happened to your beloved?"

"She was not worthy to be my beloved, she was just an ordinary, pathetic human. How could someone weak be paired with someone like me? A magnificent wizard."

"And what do you want to do with me now?"

"First I wanted to use you to get to your mother, to force her to be with me. But when I saw you, um, you're so f*****g beautiful, so sexy, with all your curves, and that black hair. So I decided I wanted you instead. That's why we're going to mate. Too bad that that disgusting vampire blood runs through your veins, but you're still a powerful witch. "Like this." Lydia raised her hand and chanted the spell and a shield of fire appeared around her. "Ignis clypeus. Praesidio amanti amicam eripere. Neve impudici cordis percurrere."

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Protecting myself."

Theodore reached out to go through the shield to touch her but the fire burned him.

"What did you do?"

"No one but my true love can pass through this shield. Whoever tries dies."

"I'll break it."

"You can try and die."

"Theodore angrily left the room, and Alex could no longer see Lydia. The last he heard before the vision was interrupted was: "I'm waiting for you my love, save me Alex."

Alex's POV

When the vision was over Alex opened his eyes. His mother was beside him, holding his hand. The room was quiet, no one said anything, everyone was waiting to hear what Alex saw.

"Mirko", Alex turned to his father's beta, "tell the border guards to let Lady Alekia's husband and son and their warriors enter our territory. Ivan," Alex turned to his father's gamma, "gathered all our warriors and summoned the commander."

"Alex, what do you think you're doing?" Alpha Philip asked. "As far as I know I am still the Alpha of this pack."

"I'm saving my mate, Alpha."
