I chase after him as he stomps his way toward the car. I need him to get over his resentment and realize that I was not his enemy.
"Get in the car," he demands, not looking back.
"No. I want to talk."
His anger rises when he opens the driver's door, me several inches away with the intention of staying there. "I said get in the fuckin' car before I body slam your ass until you learn to do what you are told."
I'd like to see you try. "Can you listen to me for one goddamn second?"
Julian slams his door shut rounding the car so he was face to face with me. "Christ, your bumbling ineptitude fuckin' astounds me."
My anger runs hot in my veins. "Can you stop that? Stop calling me dumb! It's getting on my nerves."
"Good. Now you know how it feels."
