Chapter 4Cade sat on his back porch with Sam at his side. The big dog clearly missed his brother and had been all but crawling up Cade’s ass since he got home. Not that he blamed the dog. The boys were litter mates, and this was the first time they’d ever been apart. Cade put a hand on Sam’s head to calm him and took a swig of the beer in his other hand. Ed had recommended the local beer, Mooneys’ IPA, it was a damn good microbrew. “It’s all right, boy. Sonny’s going to be fine.” Even to himself, his voice sounded raspy and unsure.
