Chapter 14Cade paced the waiting room. Nick had gone back to the cabin to sit with the dogs, once he’d been promised an update on Tess’s condition when there was news. After she’d passed out they’d grilled Delilah about how they’d spent the morning and early afternoon and figured out that Tess hadn’t had anything to eat or drink at all that day. She hadn’t eaten much the night before either.
If he could kick his own ass he would. He’d been so focused on training her for the course, he hadn’t thought about going over proper nutrition with her. According to her family she never ate much. There was no way she’d taken in enough calories or electrolytes to keep her body functioning for the rigorous training.
