“There’s a body in the quarry.” He said delicately, keeping a firm grip on my shoulder. “Oh, god...” My fear made for a convincing act. Edward continued. “I was having my morning stroll and I went down to the gorge and that’s where I happened upon the poor lad.” He rubbed the space between his eyes. “What a dreadful way to go.” The Inspector spoke up. “I’ve got some men down there now, removing the body. I fear it may be a young man that went missing a few days ago...can’t be sure till I get a closer look.” He turned back toward the woods. “Who do you think it might be?” He pulled out a small notebook and leafed through it.
