My Fated Mate

6 months have passed since my 18th birthday. I graduated from High School and went with Yara to Italy to visit her family for 2 weeks.

It was so amazing and everyone was so kind to me. Even though I enjoyed our vacation I was happy to be home. Yara was so happy to see her mate.

A longed for something special like Yara and Aiofe had. They had so much love for each other, it was almost unreal.

They never had their own children. I never knew why, I felt guilty because it was probably because they found me that they never had their own children.

When I entered my bedroom my best friend Cindy was sitting on my bed waiting for me.

" Alcina!" She ran to me and gave me a hug.

" Hi Cindy," I hugged her back.

"How are you? How was Italy? " Cindy asked with anticipation.

" Oh it was amazing and beautiful! Don't get me started on the food, it was exceptional! Yara's family was so kind, I would not mind going again." I smiled.

" Do you want to go to a party with me tonight? The new alpha of the Redmoon pack has turned 21 so they are throwing him his "coming of age" ceremony. " Cindy asked looking excited.

" Nah... I don't know, I'm actually a little tired after the flight, "I said yawning.

" Oh come on girl! Please! Maybe you'll find your mate," Cindy threw me a cheeky smile.

The thought of me finding my mate put a smile to my face.

" Okay, fine. But I am not staying after midnight. I really am tired,"

" Great," Cindy shouted, "I will see you in one hour," Cindy left to get ready and so did I.

The hour had pass and Cindy came to pick me up. It was a thirty minute drive before we arrived at Red moon's packhouse.

We entered the packhouse and got ourselves a drink. The Beta announced that everyone should get seated as the ceremony was about to start.

As we sat down the ceremony started. The beta said a few words and then called the new alpha to the stage for his coming of age ceremony.

"Raise your right hand and repeat after me, I Jack Ragar, vow to prote... Alpha? Alpha what is wrong?

As I was sitting in my seat day dreaming and not paying attention to the ceremony a dark shadow suddenly stood over me.

As I looked up Alpha Jack was towering over me panting.

"Mate," Jack whispered.

"Mate? I'm not your mate," I stated plainly and shocked as I could not help but feel nothing towards this stranger.

"Well good riddance, I would have rejected you anyway," Jack said trying to hide the pain in his voice.

"What is your name?" Jack asked with hate.

"Alcina Mordeca, " I answered plainly.

"I Alpha Jack Ragar hereby reject you, Alcina Mordeca as my mate and Luna. Do you except my rejection?" Jack asked me with teary eyes.

"I Alcina Mordeca except your rejection."

Jack fell to his knees in a instant as if someone had just stabbed him in the heart.

As for me, I couldn't help but sit there unfazed by all the recent events of the evening. I felt no pain, no guilt, nothing, absolutely nothing. I got up and went straight home with no understanding of what just happened to me.

"Yara? Yara? Where are you? " I called upset when I reached home.

Yara approached me from the kitchen with a worried expression on her face.

"Alcina, is everything alright? Did something happen? "Yara asked worried.

I told her everything that happened at the ceremony and she was just as shocked as I was when I told her.

"Yara, you always said I would feel a spark when I found my fated mate and I felt nothing of the sort for that man. Is something wrong with me? Am I cursed... "

"Maby you should ask the moon goddess," Yara suggested.

I went to my room and took a warm bath. And before I got into bed I prayed to the moon goddess asking her for guidance.

It did not take long before I fell into a deep sleep as I was very tired. I woke up in what I presumed was a dream. A very realistic dream.

I was in my bedroom sitting in front of my dresser getting ready for something. When I looked at myself in the mirror I saw someone standing behind me just staring at me.

I turned around startled. She only stood there smiling at me.

"Who are you? What do you want? " I asked frantic.

"I do not want anything Alcina. I am simply here because you prayed to me and had unanswered questions, " she said calmly.

"You... You are the moon goddess?" I asked shocked.

"I suppose I am. What answers do you need from me Alcina?" she asked in a kind manner.

"Was Alpha Jack really my mate? Why didn't I feel anything towards him? Is something wrong with me?" I asked unable to breath starting to panic.

"Slow down my child, slow down. I will explain everything," she went and sat down on my bed, scooted around until she looked like she was comfortable and looked back at me. "Alcina, you are more than just one being. You are a lycan, a wolf, a oracle and a witch. Well this you know already. But this means that you are four parts of yourself. Each one of your four parts each has a mate. If they were four seperate individuals each would have a mate. But you are one person with all four inside of you. That is why Jack sensed that you were his mate. One of your parts were. You felt nothing because you have a mate out there that you will feel a special bond with. You just need to find him.."

I woke up panting and out of breath, still in shock not knowing if what happened in my dream was real or not...
