“Your brother? He’s, my mate?” I stood there silent, not knowing what to say to my friend. I knew how she felt about my brother.
“I wanted to tell you but didn’t know how Kay. I know how you 2 feel about each other,” I looked down at my hands, feeling guilty that I could not tell her the truth.
“I can’t mate with him. I hate him Ava. He is a bully and an egotistical jock! I have to reject him!” Before I could say something, I heard someone behind me. When I turned around, my brother was standing there, holding on to his side panting. His face looked like he was broken. I turned around looking at Kacey, holding her hand over her mouth.
“I’ll leave you two,” I turned around and walked away begging the moon goddess to make them except each other.
