Chapter 10: "The Ultimate Betrayal"

Alessia's eyes were fixed on Sophia, her mind racing with questions. What was Sophia doing here? And why was she watching the mansion?

As if sensing Alessia's gaze, Sophia turned around and smiled. It was a cold, calculating smile that sent shivers down Alessia's spine.

Damian followed Alessia's gaze and saw Sophia standing in the garden. His expression darkened, and he took a step forward.

"Sophia, what are you doing here?" he demanded.

Sophia's smile grew wider as she walked towards the mansion. "I've come to reveal a secret," she said. "A secret that will change everything."

Alessia's heart was pounding in her chest. What secret could Sophia possibly reveal that would change everything?

As Sophia reached the mansion, she pushed open the door and walked inside. "Let's go somewhere private," she said.

Damian nodded, his eyes narrowing. "Follow me," he said.

Alessia followed Damian and Sophia to the study. The room was dimly lit, the only sound the ticking of the clock.

Sophia smiled again, her eyes glinting with amusement. "You're not who you think you are, Alessia," she said.

Alessia's eyes widened in shock. What did Sophia mean?

"You're not just a innocent bystander," Sophia continued. "You're a key player in this game. And you have no idea what's at stake."

Alessia's mind was reeling. What game was Sophia talking about? And what did she have to do with it?

Damian's expression was dark, his eyes flashing with anger. "Sophia, stop playing games," he growled.

But Sophia just laughed. "I'm not playing games, Damian," she said. "I'm revealing the truth. And the truth is, Alessia is your sister."

Alessia's world came crashing down around her. What did Sophia mean? Damian was her brother?

She looked at Damian, her eyes searching for answers. But Damian's expression was shocked, his eyes wide with denial.

"No," he whispered. "That's not possible."

Sophia smiled again, her eyes glinting with triumph. "I'm afraid it's true," she said. "You two are siblings, separated at birth. And your family's dark past is the reason why."

Alessia's mind was reeling. She couldn't process what Sophia was saying. She was Damian's sister? It couldn't be true.

But as she looked at Damian, she saw the truth in his eyes. He was her brother.

And their love was forbidden.
