Chapter Six

Klaus POV

I run my hands through my hair “f**k!” I curse kicking the table beside me.

What the hell has gotten into me

I suck in a deep breath and try to get her out of my damn mind.

But everything around me smells like her. Having her damn strawberry scent.

The fact that I had kissed her just a few minutes after promising Theresa a whole lot makes my heart shatter

I don't even know what came over me.

I wanted to shut her up, tell her to shut up. I am meant to be doing anything else but kissing her.

Her taste has refused to leave my mouth even after she had left the room…

It's the damn mate Bond.

But she did look beautiful, those beautiful blue eyes with stained lashes and full pink lips.

The fact that after I called her a piece of s**t she smiled at me and for some f****d up reasons the only thing I noticed was her one-sided dimples.

“She was ordered” my wolf Damon interrupts me.

“She could have said No!” I snap back.

I stare at my hands that had to hold her hair. Theresa would be so disappointed.

“Did you say no to your dad that night?” Damon ask

I roll my eyes.

“That is different. it's really different from this!”

“Exactly you had a wolf and she does not. He sent her because he thought she would never survive. I need my maye okay?. I want to mate with her”

I laugh. He talks like he is the one who has control.

Intimacy for the wolves is wholly different from the vampire side.

And unfortunately, I am a mix of both so I have to stay faithful to both of them at the same time.

I block him from interrupting my thoughts. I need to do something to remind me that I belong to Theresa and no one else.

A knock on the door interrupts my thoughts. I sit upright and square my shoulders “Come in”

Luca walks in with a big file in his hands. “Are you alone? I thought you were meant to be with her”

“Sings when did you start inquiring about my private life?” I ask as I take a look at the papers he placed on my table.

“Since I became your Beta” he responds.

I roll my eyes “I sent her away”

“What did she say”

I shrug “She hates me and all that but who cares”

He shakes his head “Poor girl I am sure she came here thinking that you would mark her not know that you can't even beat the sigh of her”

I.bod my head, a pasture smile on my face.

If only he knew.

“Stefan was not bluffing Klaus. He went to have a meeting with Dean and guess what? Your father’s bright is with Dean even the Gamma”

I run my forehead gently. Why the f**k do all these people deck for reasons that they want to be foolish.

“W? need to act fast and we need to act quickly.”,

“The crown is mine luca. All that scheming and the rest can continue. I don't care but that throne is mine it's my birthright”

“And also Dean. The law is not in favour of any of you and you need the people to make you the next Alpha”.

I roll my eyes. I promised my dad on his deathbed that I would be nice.

But I know one thing for sure.

I would snap that neck and feed on that blood if need be.

Yes, I am illegitimate and the law is simple.

The first son would be the next Alpha

The only problem is that I need to be a full blooded royalty. Yes, my mother was from the lower class but I am still my father’s son.

“I don't need anybody, Luca. Now back to business, is there anything else you want to tell me”

He placed the file he knew I had been expecting on the table.

He points at the picture of a woman lying on a hospital bed carrying a baby.

“Immediately her dad, knowing that she was an omega, made sure to torture the hell out of her. Almost sold her twice to a powerful family before this whole incident where she killed an elder”

“She killed someone?” I ask, my eyebrows raised

Luca nods his head.

No wonder there was something so daring about her. If she liked elder caspian that means she can do anything.

I turn to Luca “Do you think I am being reasonable to her?. Do you think the punishment is enough

Pause and look at me “Look, I know you lost your ante and all and I am sorry. I am still sure she is also sorry but it does not change anything about her. She was meant to obey the orders of her Alpha which is something you would have done. Just tone it down. Little, be a little kind don't just tell her”

I am not meant to touch her and yet I am already kissing her.

Luca clears his throat and adds “The swords were clean Klaus. Too clean to be cleaned before we caught them”

.I etch an eyebrow “Meaning?”

“There is a high possibility that someone did it and they fell into the game”

I laugh “That's a lie. That would never happen. So they decided to attack our pack on the same day when they were killed come on. Even if they did not do it. He said it and they would pay”

I turn to him “Deliver a message to our uncle. Tell him that I saw what he made for me. What he delivers to me is that he delivers the wrong message”

Luca nods and hits it open.

Someone knocks on the door. Carmine walks in with a smile and bows.

“There is trouble Klaus. Katherine escaped”

“What?” I ask sitting in a hurry .

She came back crying, making you scared. She ordered us all out and when we opened the door she was no nowhere to be found”

“Where the hell is she?”, I ask

“The brothel. Your brother’s brothel”
