27 “I am the Queen of the dead,” said the abomination with the voice of Gamayun. “I come to sit on the throne. Get out of my way. Or be annihilated.” Khaidu felt the thrum of the mountain beneath her, as though it were not a mountain, but a living body. This was a bit too dangerous, even for her tastes. Together with everyone on the mountain, she was intent on the massive throne on the upthrust of rock to their left, both sides of which were shrouded in mist as the Sea of Time fell in prismatic waterfalls behind it. Truly, it could be called a Throne of the Gods—it could easily seat three people of uncommon height, not just one.
