Chapter 27: Murder and Body Disposal
"Who is this woman? Brother, do we have any risks taking on this job?" The younger man asked as he carried Lilith Douglas into the house.
The man who had dragged Lilith Douglas out of the car removed his dark baseball cap. "It doesn't matter who she is; what matters is that we'll get our money soon."
"Brother, how much are they paying us this time?"
The man held up five fingers. The younger one guessed, "Fifty thousand?"
"Five hundred thousand, you fool."
"That much? Mom's medical treatment will be covered now." The younger man was almost overjoyed.
After locking Lilith Douglas in a wooden cabin, the two brothers called the man on the other end. Two hours later, Lilith Douglas woke up, and several SUVs pulled up outside the cabin.
