The soldier that brought in Adabi into the tent was surprised because the general had requested that they pair with real swords and that was why he requested that he came at him with his real sword. The soldier tried to explain to him that he was still among the newly recruited and wasn't yet qualified to pair with the general let alone pairing with him with a real sword but the general was not ready to hear of all that for he was bent on making sure that the soldier did not argue with him further. The soldier was suspecting that the general must be angry with him for something he still was not able to fathom but he was trying his best in order not to pair with the general for he already knew the consequences and what the outcome would be if he was to pair with the general.
