Chapter 7: Get out

576 Words
Kai I stormed out of the reception halI, the laughter and chatter of the guests fading behind me. I couldn't stand another second in that room, surrounded by people celebrating a union I wanted no part of. The sight of her-my wife-smiling politely, pretending like she belonged in my world, sickened me. A low-blooded nobody. A manipulative w***e who was my Wife now. Anger burned in my chest as I made my way to the bar. I needed a drink to numb the fire in my veins, to drown the chaos in my mind. But even the whiskey did little to quell the storm. By the time I got home, my head was spinning, not from the alcohol but from my boiling rage. The door clicked open, and the sight that greeted me made my blood run cold. There she was. Sleeping on my bed. How dare she? How f*****g dare she? My hands clenched into fists at my sides as I crossed the room in long, deliberate strides. The sound of my steps must have startled her because her eyes fluttered open, wide and frightened as they met mine. Good. She should be scared. "Get up," I snarled, grabbing her chin roughly. Her soft skin was cold beneath my fingers, her lips trembling as she stared at me in horror. "How dare you sleep in my bed?" I growled, my voice low and dangerous. "What is this? Some pathetic attempt to seduce me? Do you think l'd stoop so low as to touch a w***e like you?" Her confused, tear-filled eyes met mine, and for a moment, something about her expression threw me off. But I didn't let it show. She wasn't innocent. She couldn't be. "If that's what you want, fine," I spat, shoving her back onto the bed. She gasped, scrambling to push me away as I climbed on top of her. Her small hands pressed against my chest, but they were no match for my strength. My lips found her neck-not with tenderness, but with raw, punishing intent. I wanted her to feel pain, to understand that she didn't belong here, that she didn't belong to me. "Stop!" she cried, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face. "Please, stop!" Her pleas only fueled my anger. She looked so small, so fragile beneath me, butI didn't care. She was a liar, a manipulator. I wouldn't be fooled by her tears. "Please," she sobbed, her voice choked with desperation. "I don't want to be r***d on my wedding night." Her words hit me like a punch to the gut. I froze, my breath ragged as her broken voice echoed in my mind. Raped I pulled back, my hands trembling as I stared down at her tear-streaked face. Her eyes, wide and terrified, were fixed on me like l was some kind of monster. Hatred bubbled up inside me-not for her, but for myself. "Get out," I barked, my voice cold and harsh. She didn't hesitate. Scrambling off the bed, she bolted for the door, her sobs echoing down the hallway as she disappeared. The silence that followed was suffocating. My fists clenched as I tried to steady my breathing, but the storm inside me refused to calm. I had been angry before, but now... now I felt something I couldn't quite nar Her words lingered in the air, haunting me. And for the first time, I wasn't sure who lI hated more-her, or myself.
