Columbia, Canada. Flagging down a cab, a young lady wearing a black face mask climbed into the can and the driver drove off. In less than 30 minutes, the can arrived at Michaela’s Restaurant. The woman got down and paid the driver. The woman dusted off her scarf, trying to get rid of the snow on it. It's been snowing all year round in Columbia, the place was cold and it had gotten worse because it was winter again. She has lived in Columbia for 3 years, yet she was not used to the weather. After dusting off her clothes, she walked into the restaurant to get some food. Meanwhile, inside the restaurant. A young man wearing a mask also walked into the restaurant. His face was covered, leaving only his eyes opened. His eyes were the colors of the ocean, a beautiful blue filled with an electrocuting force that could leave anyone in a trance. The woman was the first in line, while the man stood behind her.“Please I would love to get the chicken cheese burger, steak and stir fried rice to go please, also please take out the peas. Thank you. “ Kora made her order, handing the cashier her card. The cashier typed in her order and took her card to pay. Whilst she was waiting for her food, the line behind her was getting longer. A middle-aged woman cut the line and tried to get in front and order first. “Ma'am, please stay back. You can't cut the line.” The waiters begged, trying to not cause a scene. The woman glared at them, “ what do you mean I can't cut the line? I am old enough to give birth to everyone here. How dare you say that? Should I wait in line and get knee pains while standing?” The woman yelled, drawing everyone’s attention to her. The people on the line rolled their eyes, what happened to ordering from her home? Instead of coming all the way here just to make a scene? “Ma'am please calm down, you can't do that ma'am. Please be calm.” The waitress begged, trying to avoid getting her payment cut. Most of the people that visited the restaurant were people of influence and wealth and they could easily get her fired. Clara ignored the waitress and walked directly to the front. She stood beside Kora hoping for her to move but when she was ignored by the young lady at the front, she got mad. “Hey young lady, can't you see I am trying to order? "Please move back,” Clara muttered, gesturing for her to get out of the way. She could not recognize Kora because Kora was wearing a face mask and her hair color had changed too. Kora looked to the side at the familiar voice, her face remained calm when she saw who it was. Her ex-mother-in-law knew nothing but to cause a scene. Kora ignored her and continued waiting for her order. Clara got angry when she saw that she was being ignored by the young lady at the front. “Can't you hear me? I am busy speaking to you.” Clara yelled. “I can hear you loud and clear, there is no reason whatsoever for you to shout.” Kora said not liking the loud noise. “You can not cut the line ma'am, if you do not want to wait in line, you can make an order online and wait for it to be delivered to you.” “The insolence. How dare you speak to an elder like that, is that what your parents taught you?” Clara remarked, upset that she was being lectured. Kora chuckled for the first time since that day, her parents? Did she have parents? Unfortunately she could not remember them. “Sorry, I do not have parents.” “Ma'am, your order is ready.” The cashier returned, handing over the packed food over to Kora. “Thank you.” Kora remarked and turned towards leave but Clara had other plans, she placed her legs in front of Kora to trip her over, wanting to embarrass her. Kora gasped when she lost her balance but was quick to close her mouth anticipating the fall but it never came. The young man with a mask who had been standing there without saying a word and watching her antics, stretched out his hand and caught Kora before she could fall.Kora stared into the ocean blue eyes of the person who had saved her, she was lost in his eyes till he cleared his throat to have her return back to reality. Kora cleared her throat in response and thanked him. “Thank you for saving me.” She muttered. She glared at Clara knowing fully well she was responsible before leaving from there, not in the mood to cause a scene. After Kora left, the young man who had saved her glared at the annoying woman in front of him. He brought out his phone and typed a few words into it before he left from there, no longer interested in eating. Kora flagged down a taxi and got into it, she had a flight to catch the next day. She could not afford to mess up her mood and get things in shambles. 3 years, she would have thought 3 years was enough for people to change for the better, but apparently people only got worse. The young man watched her get into the cab, while he stood motionlessly. A Lamborghini stopped in front of him, he opened the door and got in.“Why do you do these things by yourself? You have more than a dozen people at your beck and call that can do these for you.” another young man complained, but he was ignored.
