“I can’t see Dr. Baker leaving.” Junior said. “If he does who’s going to replace him. It won’t be easy to replace the head of the Gallop Clinic.”
“He’s on the board of directors.” Ross said. “Could be he’s just leaving the clinic. I see what I can find out.”
“I’m sorry, Junior.” Blake’s date interrupted their conversation. “My girlfriend has other plans for the evening, but says if she can get away she will join us later.”
“Maybe it’s best to go stag,” Junior said. “That way I can mingle with all of the young ladies.”
“It’s Mr. Spaulding’s sixty-fifth birthday party,” Ross pointed out. “I don’t think too many young ladies will be there.”
Junior scratched his head in confusion. “The sooner we leave for the party. The sooner, I can leave and head over to The Big Boot.”
