By one year he learned how to walk. By observing his parents talking he gained a better understanding of the language, and could make out conversation. He was able to figure out the names of his parents from the words they used. His mothers name is Kyoko and his fathers is Makato. It took a lot out of him to walk. He wasn't used to having the body of a toddler. Night was coming and he walked around the house as he was grabbed by Kyoko.
"Mitsuki, it's time for bed."
As he was put in bed Makato came into the room to tell him a story as usual. Mitsuki discovered that there were beasts and creatures in this world unlike that of earth so he assumed this planet wasnt earth. From listening to Makato stories he was once an adventurer. He loved these stories, the excitement and passion he told these stories with inspired him to be an adventurer as well. He told stories of the beasts he's hunted and battles he's faced. Mitsuki had memories of what earth was like so these stories excited him greatly. Though he thought fighting beasts of this caliber would be difficult with just a sword, he still looked forward to being an adventurer just like Makato.
"Mitsuki, become strong... strong enough to-.... Haha Ill talk to you about this when you're older you probably wouldn't understand what I'm saying now, goodnight Mitsuki"
Makato smiled after saying that but, the kind of smile that's only there to cover pain. That fake smile gave Mitsuki an unsettling feeling. An indescribable feeling that lingered in his stomach. Makato probably wasn't always as strong as he was now, maybe he-... Mitsuki decided to stop thinking and go to sleep. That look his father wore on his face stayed on his mind.... Three years have passed since Mitsuki was born into this world. He's gained better control over his body and is able to run now. His ability to talk is extremely well for his age. That's because of the pieces that he remembers, he's using those fragments as a bases on how to do certain things. Not only that, he's young but he takes in information at an abnormal level.
"Mitsukiii come here, your father and I have something for you."
"Coming mom"
As he ran towards the room his parents were in, he wondered what they could be giving him. He entered the room to see his parents smiling with a feast prepared on the table.
"Happy birthday Mitsukiii"
that's right he it was his birthday. He forgot it was his birthday today. They spent that day having fun with the party they threw though it was just the three of them. Suddenly Makato grabbed Mitsukis attention.
"Mitsuki watch this. I may fight with a sword most of the time, but i've learned a few things after some training."
Makoko took a stace and steadied his breathing. The air started to become hotter and hotter as time went on. Mitsukis heart began to race from the anticipation of what could come next. Suddenly Makato held out his hand as fire began to form.
"FIREBALL"
he shouted this as he shot the fire from his hand like a bullet. This was magic, Mitsukis eyes lit up as his face was filled with awe and excitement
"Haha see that mitsuki. Your old man can still surprise you. You can do this too if you practice enough."
Magic exists in this world, he thought to himself about learning how to do magic and going on adventures and so much more, then he thought about his parents, how lucky he was to have them. The feeling of warmth filled Mitsukis heart. Suddenly memories filled mitsukis head, memories of his life on earth that he had forgotten. He was almost always alone, the feelings of dread and loneliness he had come accustomed to were burned into his mind, the look he wore on his face was almost fully deprived of hope. Most of the light in his eyes was gone but there was still a shred of light left that looked as if it could be shattered with the smallest touch. What caused him to turn out this way.
"Ill always be here for you"
with those words from an unfamiliar face, the memories faded from his mind, and he returned back to reality. That feeling started to fill his heart, like a dark mist spreading throughout his body. Fear... fear started to cloud his thoughts. The fear of being left alone like he did then, dying alone, losing all hope, losing... everything. That terror stuck him to his core,
"Kehehe you'll end up just lik-"
an unknown voice spoke out to him that put him in even greater despair but was cut off by makato.
"Mitsuki are you okay? You're 4 years old now and it's your birthday you should be happy, but if you're not maybe this will make you happy"
Makato went and got a present that he hid somewhere.
"This is for you Mitsuki."
He handed him a silver dagger that looked like it was made just for him
"You always seemed to be fascinated by my stories as an adventurer so I thought I would get you your own dagger. You're growing up so fast im gonna have to teach you how to fight soon. Happy birthday Mitsuki."
Mitsuki grabbed the dagger and unsheathed it to reveal the sharp silver blade that he could see his own reflection in. He put it back in the sheath and set the dagger down.
"Thank you dad. I- I think i want to be an adventurer like you. I'll become strong just like you"
" That's my son. Your mom has something for you as well."
Kyoko already had her present prepared. A small box, I opened it to see a golden necklace.
"Mitsuki when you do leave home... I want you to wear this to think of us. I know you're going to grow up to be a good man. Make sure you don't forget us. We love you."
After hearing those words he was overcome with gratitude and appreciation. Tears began to form in his eyes as those words echoed in his head. He started remembering the pain he felt for so long, the feeling of being worthless, the despair, loneliness, helplessness, failure, and everything else he felt, but those feelings were overshadowed by this love he was shown by his parents
"I- I love you too"
His voice was shaky and he shriveled his face up in an attempt to hold back his tears, but after seeing this Kyoko and Makato embraced him with a hug.
"Mitsuki it's okay, you dont have to hold them back. No matter what happens we will always love you"
Those words that went though his ears echoed through his mind. His emotions were overwhelmed, It felt as If he had only felt this comfort once in his life. Hearing those words Mitsuki broke down, he couldn't stop his tears from flowing. He sobbed heavily into the arms of his mother and father.
"uuaaa UAAAAAAAWWWWHHHH"
