Liam’s POV
“Still no sign of her?” I asked, barely recognizing my own voice.
Leo hesitated in the doorway. “None, Alpha. The trackers searched every mile of forest between here and the border.”
My hand curled around the armrest of the throne. “That’s impossible.”
“They believe she may have crossed into rogue territory.”
“Rogues?” My body seized and I stood on my tiptoes. “You mean my mate, my Queen, ran away to the dirt?”
Leo didn't meet my eyes. "She had nowhere else to go."
I banged my knuckles on the table to my side. The crack reverberated in the hall. “She had me!”
He flinched but didn’t move. “You’ve been saying that, Liam, but she didn’t want…”
“Don’t,” I warned.
