The office is hustling and bustling as staff wander from desk to entrance, the talent scouts turning the downstairs club into a stage where potential clients can show off what they do best. You can barely see inside the tinted glass that covers the SkyNight Club, the only hint that you're there is the small sign over the front door.
Pulling up in front of the club is a plane old yellow taxi cab. The door opens and all that anyone can see are black dress shoes and black pants.
"Wait here" Scots Says to the cab driver. There is no exchange of conversation between them. The door closes and he approaches the large dark building.
"Welcome to SkyNight Club, I'm Carilene, how can I help you today Sir?" The Receptionist is beautiful, long dark flowing hair, deep eyes, you could almost see into her soul, the cheerful disposition and kindness she shows everyone of every class is why she's so good at her job.
"Uhh yeah I'm looking for Pixi"
The room goes quiet and everyone stops to look at the brave man asking for the demon upstairs. No one comes to the front desk to ask for Pixi directly.
"Do you have an appointment with her Sir?" The receptionist asks, hesitantly.
"No, I'm responding to an email and since I can't find any information on this place, the owner or her, I decided to come and check it out for myself." He adjusts his cuffs making sure their properly done up and he takes the chance to look around, seeing that all eyes are on him.
"Give me one moment Sir..." Carilene gets up from the front desk and walks into a back room. She closes the door and lifts the phone. "Umm Mom? There's some guy here he says he's responding to an email you sent? Yes I know he doesn't have an appointment. Okay I'll ask." Carilene puts the phone on a desk and opens the door. "Excuse me Sir what did you say your name was?"
He smirks and adjusts his hair "I didn't, just tell her it's the owner of East Side Radio."
The confused look on Carilene's face spoke a thousand words. "Thank you Sir." She walks back and closes the door. "Mom he says he owns East Side." A loud Screach can be heard through the phone as Cari moves it away. "So what do we do then?" she nods "Okay I'll bring him up. Thank you Mom."
Walking out of the small room back to her desk, she flips up the partition and yells "Kit! I Need you to cover while I take Mr EastSide up to the top floor!"
Again the people all fall quiet and eyes turn to the well dressed man. Whispers can be heard. "I hope he knows what he's doing." "Did he make a will before he came here" "Man he's brave". Lucky for them only Carilene and Kit can hear them.
"Yeah I got this sis you go on ahead." Kit smiles at Carilene before turning her attention to the gawking employees. "Get back to work." She demanded.
"Follow me please Sir." Cari said to him softly and she leads him down to the visitor elevator. The silence between them was awkward and the air became heavy the closer they got to the elevator. She pushes the button and turns to him smiling. "When it gets here we'll head up. What brings you here exactly if I may ask Sir?"
"Oh, I like to check places out before reffering any of my people to clubs and talent scouts. Just part of the business." He fusses with his tie as he replies.
"Oh" She said. The elevator ride seemed so slow, Carilene thought to herself.
"Are you alright?" Scot asked the nervous receptionist.
"Uhuh! Yes I am most definitly okay, are you okay?"
"I think so but the way everyone acts around here I'm begining to wonder.."
*Ding* the doors open. The hallway is painted to look like a sunset, Twinkling stars and all.
"What a weird place" Scot thought to himself.
They approach an all black door at the end of the hall. Carilene Knocks three times.
"WHAT?" A demanding voice behind the door asks.
"Momma, I have the owner of Eastside with me you asked I brought him up." Carilene replied.
"Oh, of course baby come in." A softer tone came from the other side of the door.
As the nob turns Pixi is adjusting herself in her chair, trying to look friendly and inviting while maintaining a serious look.
"Mr East Side? Meet Pixi, the General Manager of Night SKy. I'll leave you two to chat." Carilene bows to show she is leaving and her mother blows a kiss and waves as she leaves.
"Aren't my daughters just lovely?" She smiled as the doors closed.
"Yes...most helpful" Scot Replied.
"So, Mr Eastside Radio, what can I help you with today, and what brings you here? You were the last person I expected to see."
"Well, Miss Pixi." He started and adjusted his sitting position to seem more relaxed. "First off, call me Scot. Second, I had never heard of this venue and wanted to see it for myself before I recommend my people to come here. Third, since I couldn't find any information on this building or you. I wanted to know more about what you do here. So far it seems pretty nice." He looks down to check his watch. "I have to be somewhere, and I'd like to hear more, so if you have nothing to do I'd like you to come with me." Scot stood up and smiled at the stunned woman behind the desk.
"I'm glad you like it Mr...Scot." Catching herself before she continued, "If you're busy you can always just"
"Nope" he cut her off." I have time now, so I'd like you to join me."
"Okay" Pixi replied c*****g an eyebrow at him. Who does he think he is. I don't care if he's famous he's just a normal person like me. I wonder if this usually works. Oh Well, there's no harm I guess.
Pixi stood, adjusting her dress and grabbing her hand bag. She picked up her phone and dialed a number "Hi Kit love, yes he's here, of course he's alive! What kind of business.....oh.....well see........" She sighed and shook her head "No I wont be here, cancel my meetings I'm going out with Sco.......Mr Eastside."
Leading the way she opened the door and headed down to the elevator. What could possibly happen over a car ride? Nothing. Or so she thought
