Micheline Strong arms turned me around. I felt my bladder loosening. My head fell against his shoulder as I stared into Domenico’s face. For several seconds, I rested my head against his shoulder taking in his salty, musky scent. “You scared me.” Stumbling back a step, I placed my hands on my hips. “You were lucky it was me and not a shadow spirit. What if it had been Valen or any of the other spirits?” The vein in his neck bulged. Glaring at him, I snorted. “I didn’t want to come alone.
