The fall felt like it took forever. I was gliding in mid-air. It didn't seem to faze Jonah, if any thing he looked bored. I looked down and saw the floor was getting closer and I closed my eyes and braced myself for impact but It never came. Instead when I opened my eyes I was floating just inches from the ground. I cautiously put my feet to the ground and gently set foot on the floor.
Jonah tapped his scythe on the ground and something heavy footed was coming our way. I observed what surrounded me. I could smell the wet stone and could hear swishing of water through cracks in the stones.The heavy footsteps coming toward us felt like an earthquake now and my eyes darted where Jonah was looking down the tunnel. Out of the shadows came a huge three headed dog.
