The dome began to shake under my feet as I ran to the front gate. My heart was pounded as people all around screamed and pushed their way to the gate. Theo had disappeared; hopefully, he was safe. But, the guards were no longer there, and people started to rush through.
The shrill shrieking of the creature only got louder. People started to push me deeper into the crowd that formed by the gate. Finally, I began to feel suffocated. All I could hear were the panicked screams of people all around me. They all started to push their way to the gate.
