Chapter 18

Next morning

-Faleen POV-

I felt someone nudging me in my sleep.

"Faleen get up hun, I wanna talk to you about something.." Luna was whispering in my ear.

"Ugh stop it.." I said half asleep and turned the other way. Then I felt a rush of cold all over my body and I curled into a ball. Luna had taken my blankets.

"Come on Missy get up, you've slept in long enough." Luna opened the blinds and I was blinded by the light.

"Oh..god...what time is it?" I said holding my hand up to so I wasn't blinded.

"Its time to get up, that's what time it is. Now Ive laid out some clothes for you but first.." Luna paused and sat next to me. "I wanted to talk to you about something."

Luna looked worried,"Okay.." I said.

"Remember when the glass broke all over the floor when you were alone and I came back to check on you?" she asked.

I almost forgot about that. With all the things that were going on I must of not thought about it much.

"Yeah...I remember," I said.

"Well I know if you understand what happened." she said

I looked at her confused and c****d my head,"What do you mean?"

Luna sighed and continued,"Faleen that pearl that sunk into your skin is now bond to you but it seems it has also changed you and given you some sort of magical powers. The glass breaking was the first time you saw your powers at work but you were only able to use them because the emotion you were feeling at the time was so strong." she added

I touched my pearl. Why hadn't I realized that? My powers only showed if i was angry...or in pain. I looked up at Luna,"I don't know why I hadn't noticed that but its hard to control once I get to that point. When I went to the surface I went to see my family...I set our picture on fire with my green flames that had appeared on my hands because I was so full of rage and just watched it burn to the ground."

Luna looked shocked for a moment and turned away from me.

"Well...we need to figure out how to control your powers. How to use them when you want to and not just because your anger sets it off and how to turn them off when you want to." She turned back to me with a warm smile and I returned to the smile.

"I'd like that very much,"I said.

Luna slapped her hand on the bed,"Good! Now I know there are some books in the library that might be able to help us so lets start there!" She got up from the bed and started to hand me my clothes.

"Now get ready and come see me in the Library." she said and walked out the room. I hurried and put on my clothes and rushed out the door and down the stairs to the Library.

I ran into Delilah on my way to the library and she stopped me in my tracks.

"Hey little Missy where are you off to?" She crossed her arms.

I really didn't have the practice to deal with her right now she could just bite me.

I walked past her without saying anything.

"Well I hope you have a good day!" she yelled.

I ignored her. After last night she could kiss my ass.

I walked into the library and met up with Luna again.

She was at a table in the corner and had a few stacks of books lined up already.

"Wow..were gonna go through all that?" I asked.

Luna looked up at me and said," You betcha, these are all the books I picked out that have something in them about magical properties. Now we don't know much about your powers so we have to have an open mind here. We know only two things you can do now. The green flames and whatever happened in the room with the glass but right now I want you to look into these I have a couple duties to do around here and I'll be back to see what you've discovered okay?"

I looked at the books and then her and sat down an cracked my knuckles,"Well then I better get started huh?" I smiled and Luna walked out of the library.

There were so many books I didn't even know where to start.I through a few and they just didn't match up with what I had. I looked through for maybe a couple of hours and started to get frustrated. I got up to stretch and take short break. I looked at a few other book cases to see if anything else may have something that could help me but didn't find anything.

I went back to table and slumped in the chair. There was still a couple stacks to go through. I grabbed a black book with a creature with horns on it. I opened it to a random page and saw the creatrue burning what looked like a person. Underneath the image was the word Hellfire. I started to look through a couple pages and one sentence caught my attention.

Summoned from the bowels of Hell itself or created by a creature that was born or spawned in Hell.

My eyes widened and remembered the green flames coming from my hands but how was this summoned from a creature of the bowels of hell?

I touched my pearl and thought about where it had come from...the underworld.

Delilah seemed like she was looking for it. Was it because of what it could do besides being the key to unlock the underworld?

I grabbed the book and ran up to my room and locked the door. If Delilah knew I had this she would probably claw her greedy little hands into my chest to have it back...was this arranged marriage to Theo a fraud for her to get the pearl back?

Oh no...I should probably ask Theo...but how would that make me look blaming something like this on her even though I wanted nothing more than to see her ass kicked.

I sighed and threw the book on my bed and flopped on the bed next to it. How could I bring this up without looking like a jealous fool?

I could dangling it in Delilahs faces and see if she bites but I'd have to make an excuse to be around her. Ugh and really didn't want to be around her...but there was always Theo and she seemed to be around him a lot.

I smiled as I thought of how to lure her out.

-Theo POV-

"Now that wasn't so bad was it?" Delilah said walking out of the bathroom in her robe.

"Eh...I've had better," I replied hoping it angered her and it did. She stomped her foot and crossed her arms.

"How dare you! I am good at everything especially that!" She yelled.

I scoffed and replied,"Says who? Your ego?"

"You know what you couldn't even get it up in the fist place if it wasn't for me changing into that siren b***h!" she yelled. I looked at her and raised my eyebrow at her,"That "Siren b***h" was the only reason it got up in the first place." I walked to bathroom and closed the door and heard Delilah threw a vase at the door in anger.

I laughed at her childish anger. Really? Did she think it was because of her this happened? Hell no.

I never laid hands on Delilah until Faleen came into the picture an the feelings haven't let up ever since and after this the feelings didn't subside.

I would definitely regret this in the future but now I know that this isn't just physical attraction to Faleen. Its more than that, and I would be a fool to deny it any longer.

I took a shower and came out of the bathroom in my towel. Delilah was looking through my books I had on my desk and had torn some pages out.

"What in the hell are you doing?" I glared at her and she just sat there smiling, taring pages slowly so Id heard the rip of them. "You hurt my feelings, so I wanted to hurt your little books you like to read so much," She then got up and handed me the book she had ripped the pages from. "Have fun reading," She winked at me and had walked to the door to leave.

I'd had enough of this girl. I threw the book across the room and shut the door before she talked out without closing it. She wasn't the only one who had god like powers.

She turned to me,"Haha very funny now open the door."

I was fuming, Id hated this girl from day one and she persisted to try and make my life a living hell. I locked the door.

"Theo what the hell! Open it." She started to get nervous. Did she really think she could piss someone off and it not have repercussions on her. Well gets what Delilah...daddy's not here.

-Faleen POV-

I had gotten the courage to go to Theo's room which a maid had pointed me too.

I got to the door before I knocked I heard a loud thud and glass shatter. What in the world was going on.

I knocked and heard Delilah's voice,"Help he's hurting me!" She was actually screaming.

I kicked the door open and saw Delilah on her knees holding her finger and Theo was leaned against the desk with his hands covering his face and he looked like he couldn't breath.

Delilah looked at me and she was crying...what the hell happened?

There were books everywhere and pages of books that looked like that had been torn out.

"Okay...What in the world is going on?" I asked. Delilah got up and ran behind me.

"He was trying to kill me!" She yelled. I stared at Theo and he took a deep inhale before putting his hands down. He looked at me with a straight face and replied,"It was a paper cut...she said I was going to kill her because of a paper cut." I looked sideways at him and burst into laughter and so did he. Now I know why he was covering his face it was because he was laughing.

Delilah walked out in front glaring at us,"Why the hell are you laughing!? He was going to kill me! He made a ton of books fly at me like a hurricane and broke glass so I would cut my feet! He's a monster. I hate both of you and I'm going to tell Poseidon about this!" She stomped out of the room.

Theo was holding his stomach and wiping tears from his eyes,"Oh god...I'm sorry if that looked rude but I couldn't help it." he said trying to stop his laughter.

I had covered my my mouth to try and stop smiling. Even though I didn't like Delilah she did look really scared. "Okay.." I took a deep breath and managed to stop giggling.

"Theo why was she so scared of you? She said you were trying to kill her and from what I'm seeing it looks like you were....um a bit upset." I asked.

Theo chuckled,"That girl gets scared the instant her jokes backfire on her. She thinks she can do no wrong and get away with everything. I was just showing her she couldn't. I wasn't going to hurt her if that's what your asking Faleen.

"Oh okay," I said an proceeded to look around the room and saw what I could only assume was lingerie by the bed...

I squinted at it and crossed my arms. Theo followed my eyes and looked back at me and turned pale. I pressed my lips together.

Oh he was about to see at whole new type of pissed.
