I stood by the tall oak door, glancing around the space which was fully occupied by two up and down wooden beds on either sides of the room. Lucy had just left after ushering me into the bedchamber they shared together with Stacy and another twelve year old girl called Fiona. They were three occupants in one room, and now I was going to be the fourth occupant.
The middle of the room was separated by a beige carpet I'd assumed to be a four by six size, rolled down to cover the floorboards.
