Kit Feels Uneasy

The girl walked up to Selena as she stared at me wide eyed and spoke handing the cup in her hand to Selena.  "Here's your coffee and I made them add extra creamer and sugar to it just the way ya like it,"  the girl then left her suitcase there beside Selena and walked off  as she said " I'll Be right back,  I gotta take this call." I walked up to Selena , grabbed her arm , and pulled her off to the side . I noticed Jamie followed.

Selena looked at me puzzled and confused before she glared at my hand on her wrist. "Ouch!  Why are you hurting me Leon?

 Who the hell is that Selena? I ask angrily . 

 Selena stared at me as If I'd lost my mind and had grown two heads before replying, "That's Kit , have you forgotten I was bringing her here? Leif told me I could" She yanked her wrist out of my hand and asked. "What’s the problem Leon? Why are you acting so weird?"

 I ran my hand through my hair aggravated. “Could you not have found someone less attractive for f**k sake Selena, I roared causing the girl to hang up her phone and look at me.

                                                                                    Kit’s POV

I heard the man near Selena yell at her and hung up the phone as I rushed back to her side. I didn’t know who he was but he wasn’t yelling at my best friend like that. “ Hey Selena, Scott said to tell you hi”. I looked at her then and noticed a tear going down her cheek. Without thinking or knowing who this person was, I turned to him angrily. “I don’t know who the hell you are, but do not yell at my friend like that!”

Both men stared at me, the man who yelled at Selena glared angrily at me,  I thought to myself, this was strange. Who were these men and why were they looking at me as if they wanted to eat me one minute then kill me the next? I became uneasy and my gut kept giving me bad signals !! Suddenly the one who yelled at Selena spoke

" I will talk to her any damn way I please so mind your own business b*tch!" Leon said harshly.

" She is my business and we don’t have to listen to your rudeness." Grabbing my suitcase then Selena's hand, I yanked her to drag her away. I wanted out of this airport now. I’d call for a cab. Suddenly Selena yanked her hand away and stopped me causing me to stare at her questioningly . "What are you doing?" I asked.

 "Kit,  this is my brother Leon and my boyfriend Jamie that I told you about!" Selena stated as she walked back toward them. "They came here to pick us up" Selena added as I looked from one to the other to see them smirking and I had an awful gut feeling that something wasn't right, these two gave me bad vibes and glancing at Selena,.I felt uneasy but didn’t know why. 

I walked up to Selena and bent my head down to whisper in her ear.. “Can I talk to you alone for a minute?” I ask her as I drag her away making her follow me. I didn't want to hurt her feelings with what I was about to say but I never ignored my gut when it told me something was wrong. Selena finally asked me “Kit, Why do you look so pale all of a sudden? Are you okay? Selena asked concerned.

"Selena, Look," I said staring at her eye to eye." I know I promised you that I’d stay here with you and keep you company for the summer but  I don't feel comfortable Selena, If you don't care, I think I'm gonna book a room  at one of the nearby motels" I saw Selena's hurtful expression on her face before she became puzzled, then angry. 

 "You're joking right?"  Selena asked angrily.  "What do you mean you don't feel comfortable? she asked as she looked at me offended. " Kit, they are my family!"

“ No offense intended Selena, I think I'm just new to all of this and and I just need a few days to adjust to everything, You understand right?" I asked 

" Kit , you don't even have any money, how will you book a hotel? Selena asked me which sounded sarcastic to me for some reason so I just looked at her ."I do! I made a withdraw out of my savings in case I needed it, I told her hatefully as I was tired of the way she was acting, which was weird to me. 

" Kit, I don't like it,  you have never been here before, you'd be on your own!"

"I'll be fine!  We can meet up tomorrow after we're both settled in and talk after you've visited with your family for awhile." I noticed Selena seemed uneasy and didn't like my idea.  I didn't know what else to say to her to make her less worried, I just knew her brother kind of creeps me out! I felt breathing down my back and quickly jumped and turned to face Selena's brother Leon who was now trying to intimidate me.

 "What's taking so long? Is there a problem? Leon asked impatiently.
