Jessie’s POV
I sat cross-legged on the floor of Jamie’s living room. I had helped her fight out that demon Brynn. Then I kept her warm in the snow. Then we faced the demon Abinab together. We were linked through our mate-bond. The bond between Alpha and Luna was the strongest of all mate-bonds. I could not perceive exactly what Jamie did. It was a bit hazy as though looking through a veil but it was clear enough. Jamie knew I was with her and she felt a lot braver. Evangeline certainly wasn’t alone. Why should Jamie be? Although, I did not think Evangeline welcomed Brynn’s presence as readily as Jamie welcomed mine.
